Vehicle Detail
Selling a project I just will not get to. This car has been in storage in Tempe Arizona for the last 5 years. Purchased it on ebay in 06 from a seller in california for $2000. Drove it to Tempe where it has sat until it was shipped here about a month ago. The guys who's garage it was stored in was moving. It is now stored in Michigan in my garage. I put a new battery in it and changed the oil and drained the gas from the gas tank and it starts reliably and dependibly everytime. I have been staring it up and pulling it out to the curb with a forsale sign on it just about every day for the last month. No power drains or non starting or overheating issues. It has a slant 6 and automatic transmission. The choke sets perfect and it starts right up on the first crank even when it was 15 degrees out when it was backed off the car hauler a month ago. It idles great but has some engjine noise durring heavy acceleration. I believe the oil pump is going bad. It drives smooth and tight and easy. The transmission shifts firm and at the correct time when accelerating and decelerating. There are no rattles or suspention noise or pulls. The steering is efortless and has seemingly no play in it which honestly makes me really wonder if it is actually only 59k miles. The brakes work very good. The odometer states 59k miles, I would be assume it is 159k but the steering like I stated is so tight it fools me. Maybe the gear was replaced but it doesnt look newer at all. Tires were new but purchased in 2006, they are michelin tires and the tread is new.. With excpetion of the roof of course, the body has almost no rust. The undercarrige, suspension, floor pans, trunk floor and pan, rockers, front and rear quarters are in very nice condition. Most the chrome is in very good shape also with pretty much no pitting at all. See pics. The interior is half nice half not so nice. It needs a dashpad and rear seat upolstered/covered, and a headliner to be all nice. Otherwise the front font seat is not torn and is still very suportive and the dash is not cut up. The door panels are in very great condtion. The heat is working. The vent and door windows work well with out any issues. The rear windows are a little slow go up and down. The carpet is in suprisingly decent condtion for 40 years old. The Car is complete, starts right up and was my perfect candidate for a custom convertable Dart I have always wanted to build. The dash uncut and the car is un-molested as they say. I just no time for the project, just too many others to do first. Please only bid to be the next owner of my Dart. Its a great car, hate to let it go. Please send me your phone number if you want to come see it before the auction ends. Local buyers are welcome to come see it before bidding. I tried to be completely throrough about everything. I can even arrange all the shipping so that you pay the truck driver when he drops the car off. thanks for looking and bidding. Auction ends at 7:45 EST. I will be adding more pictures of the interior, trunk and underhood tomorrow. thanks for lookingOn Apr-16-11 at 11:12:17 PDT, seller added the following information: On Apr-16-11 at 11:17:44 PDT, seller added the following information: On Apr-17-11 at 08:06:41 PDT, seller added the following information:
