Vehicle Detail
This is my 1992 Previa Van. I have owned it for 4 years, and put about 50K miles on it. It has served faithfully as work van for my small cleaning company. The only reason I am selling it is because my needs have changed and I need to purchase a bigger van which can carry a combination of people and all of my equipment. As it stands now, I need to make two trips to get both people and equipment to the same job site. I understand it isn't pretty, but again it is a work van. I had no intention of sell this van, and just last month I put 4 new fuzion tires on it at a cost of $450 which I would not have done had I known I would be selling it a month later. I think the van is worth at least $900 to someone. Heck I can part it out for that much. I have always changed the oil and have had no major issues. But to be fair, there are issues. Here they are: Windshield has a crescent shape rub mark on the passenger side from a wiper that fell off. The employee didn't tell me, and ran the wipers several times. There is also a small chip on the driver side that could be considered in your line of vision. Would your State pass it through inspection, I don't know. It is $280 for new windshield.Driver side door mirror, the mirror itself not the housing, is loose and wobbles while driving.Passenger side front 1/4 fender had a dent (it has been there since I bought it)Passenger side door has crease w/rust (see picture - it has been there since I bought it)Center sun roof has cracked glass, it does not leak and it does open.Fan switch which controls AC/Heat recently stopped working, I don't think it's a fuse because when I wiggle it, I can hear it making a clicking sound. I saw this part on Ebay for $40. So if your handy, it is $40 bucks and a couple hours worth of time. There is either a loose belt or a loose alternator. I'm not a mechanic, but this is what it sounds like. When stopped at an idle it makes a rattling noise. Once driving the noise goes away, the engine sounds good. The ABS light on the dash is on. I had a shade tree mechanic put on new brakes 6 months ago and they work fine, but when he returned it the ABS lights were on. He said he didn't connect a sensor. What did I care, it's just a work van and I know for a fact the ABS works. (I can prove this during a road test) Inside door handles are for crap and need to be attached back to doors.Slider door handle sometimes sticks and has to be opened from the inside. Front carpet is for crap, dirty and matted - Again it's a work van About a year ago I pulled out the old carpet because it looked like crap and smelled from the wet mops I often have. I put down 1/4 inch rubber matting, like you find at gym. I have the center seat, although it's not in the pictures. The battery is about 1 year old, and I installed new head lamps because the old ones were to hazed from road debris. The mileage will be higher than what is listed because I still drive this van everyday. I just returned from a 200 mile round trip with no issues, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. It also returns 16/22 mpg on average. Again, I'm sure someone can use a good dependable work van at a reasonable price. If someone has some mechanical knowledge to fix the small things then I'm confident there is another 100K miles in this vehicle. I have watched ebay for these vans and I know that these vehicle go well over 250K miles and can be priced from $1200 to one that just sold for $4000. (granted it was in immaculate shape) If you want to see it, just let me know and we can coordinate a scheduled date and time. If you have any questions, just ask. It is obviously 'as is' but check my feed back, I want to sell this to someone who has a need for a good inexpensive work van, not scam someone out of hard earned money.
