Vehicle Detail

1964 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Convertible with 3 year old upgraded drivetrain, consisting of a professionally built 350 ci Chevrolet V8 by Dahmer Powertrain, rated at 320 hp, which is coupled to a rebuilt 700R4 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission. Car also comes complete with original, number matching drivetrain (327 ci V8, 250 hp, with 2 speed Powerglide transmission). I have owned this car for 6 years and have replaced the following: New braking system (master cylinder, power brake booster, complete rebuild of each wheel drum brake) New radiator Upgraded steering to 605 gearbox Completely rebuilt suspension; new bushings, springs, shocks, ball joints) Complete new dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40's and stainless steel pencil tip exahust ends 17x8 American Racing Torq Thrust II's with new radial tires (less than 6,000 miles) Custom driveshaft with billet aluminium racing-spec carrier bearing with polyurethane bushing New convertible boot, convertible top clasps, visors and visor brackets All SS emblems, Chevy Flags, and Impala SS decklid emblems are new What does it need? I haven't been able to drive this car over the past year and while sitting in my garage, the transmission has developed leak at rear seal. The power steering pump has also developed a leak, but not sure where. 2 days ago I accidentally ran my floor jack into the lower bottom part of the car by the door sill and knocked off a large, 4" piece of paint. The paint in general needs to be redone. There are some scratches that have been touched up. The car was recently appraised at $33.000 - this is your opportunity to own a complete, true SS convertible, and have all the reliability and convenience of a modern drivetrain, steering, braking and cooling system. On Apr-13-11 at 05:10:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Updated 4/13/11 - Added VIN. Also - I have all items to return vehicle to stock appearance. Anything that I removed has been stored and boxed. I have the stock wheels and hubcaps as well. Also, the new engine has HEI ignition. I have all receipts for service and parts for the Impala since I've owned it, totaling over $13,000. Also the appraisal in June 2009 was $38,000, not $33,000 as I originally stated. Buy it now price is 1/2 the appraised amount! I am getting a scanned image of the appraisal and will add it tonight. I also added a picture of the chip that just happened on the lower part of car, by the driver's side door. Murphy's law strikes again! The CD player is in the glove box, and there are new speakers in the dash and rear seat. The dashboard is in great shape, as is the console. I added the oil, water and temp gauges, which work properly. The driver's side seat has a tear in the seams and needs to be replaced. The passenger and back seat are in perfect condition - no tears or rips. Convertible top is in great shape (boot is less than1 year old). Top goes up and down with no issues, but the switch flakes out some times, so I pulled it apart and press the contacts for the switch together manually to raise or lower the top. Chrome is fair, not perfect but looks good. Same goes for SS spear down the side. On Apr-13-11 at 17:31:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Updated 4/13/11 - 7:20 pm - Impala also has tilt wheel. I uploaded pictures of the trunk and rear of vehicle, with the trunk liners in and out. The engine has an Edelbrock RPM Performer polished intake manifold with Edelbrock 1406 carburetor. I also uploaded an image of the appraisal. I have received several questions regarding rust. It does not have any rust holes in the floor boards or trunk. There is some surface rust underneath but nothing is full of holes or rusting out. The chassis is solid. I have had 3 different shops work on this vehicle and there have no rust issues found.
