Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1970 CB750 K0 with only 8250 miles in immaculate condition. I bought this bike from an estate dealer who picked it up in all original condition with 8100 miles on it and last registration from 1986. When I got this gem I had to do some initial carburetor cleaning and adjusting to get it going. In order to do this I had to pull the airbox off naturally and that's when everything started. To my horror, the box crumbled into pieces in front of my eyes. The material must have become very brittle over time for some reason. The bike was in very nice shape to begin with but now I had to get a new airbox and have it painted to match the bike and that turned out to be an impossible feat, so in the end I decided to have all of the pieces painted in order for them to match. With all that off the bike, more of the age of the bike was visible and one thing led to another, long story short, I disassembled the bike down to the frame and over a period of a year and half I completely restored this bike. I retained all original parts with exception of the airbox. Everything else was reconditioned. While the engine was out I went ahead and had the top end redone by a professional motorcycle shop specializing in this part. Here the valves were relapped, the valve stem seals replaced, new piston rings installed, camchain adjusted all new seals installed and everything retorqued. So, essentially it is a fresh, tight engine, with no leaks whatsoever. The carburetors where also cleaned and new seals installed. All electrics work as they should, seat is original ducktail with red sponge in very good condition. I replaced most of the nuts and bolts with new number "8"s that I purchased in Japan along with other small hardware like springs etc. The exhaust is original and is in very good shape without holes or rust and delivers the unmistable throaty sound of the early 750's...very nice.. The bike runs strong and keeps it's idle nice and steady once warmed up for a few minutes. I regret parting with it after having it around for so long and spending so much time with it and never getting tired of it's looks... but I am selling my country property with my nice big shop on it and moving to the city with only a parking garage, so I will be selling all of my bikes and other goodies here on ebay over the next few months. Life must go on... Good luck bidding.
