Selling my 1967 Camro RS/SS clone. Runs hard, drives good, good paint ( not show quility). 1 hell of a good start to pro-touring project. This car was listed about 2 months ago with 454/th400/4:11 posi (12 bolt) It now has a 454/ 700r4 fresh rebuild/ 3:55 posi (same 12 bolt) For the swap from th400 to 700r4, I hade the drive shaft shortened and balanced, new 700r4 yoke, new crossmember (Bowtie Overdrives), TV cable and bracket (Bowtie Overdrives), new dipstick, (Jegs-flexible chrome), Overdrive lock up wiring and switch ( texas transmissions-interannlly wired). Ther rear end was rebuilt by Pyle Brothers in Baytown, Tx with a new 3.55:1 gear set and posi unit. Why the changes, and why am I selling? I auctually want (dream car), a 1968 rs/ss, or ss (clone) with a small bolock and AC. I want weekend cruiser, LS1 with overdrive would be perfect. I was raised working on cars, but its not my favorite hobby. I want to turn the key and drive to the car show. I thought the overdrive and 3:55 would get me closer to my cruiser. I hate the big block. It runs hard, but it not a night on the town set-up. It's got a pretty rough idle, cammed pretty aggressive. I bought it like this, so I'm not sure of the specifics. Again not the cruiser i want Extras: Stock 12 bolt diff. cover- I insatlled a chrome one Good 4:11 posi gear set, with all of the interanl parts include- replaced to 3:55 posi Old yoke to TH400- good condition Dipstick from TH400 New Dipstick for 700r4- wouldn't fit between firewall and valve cover on big block, went to flexible type TH400 croosmember- replaced for 700R4 1 box of miscellanious parts- Nothing necessary, just bolt- on interior upgrades.
