Vehicle Detail

This is a 1973 Camaro RS Split Bumper 4 Speed , I have had it for quite a while but it has been in enclosed storage for a few years. The previous owner had it 10 years and did alot of the power train and restoration before he was transferred out of the country. Anyway I could give you a 20 minute story about the economy and all but I finally pulled this from storage and need to get it sold so someone can enjoy it more than the storage facility its been parked in. The info that I have is the following: 350 SBC bored .030 with sealed poer pistons and rings, crank was turned 10/10 with hydraulic flat tappet Camshaft (duration 210 intake/220 exhaust @.050 lift) , I am not sure what that means but it has a nice lope at idel and great response on acceleration. Timing chain is Comp Cam double roller with a Pioneer Street Balancer.Melling Oil Pump that delivers 70 lbs of oil pressure. Heads are Rare 041 Casting, ARP 7/16 studs and Comp Cam guide plates. Stainless Steel valve, milled at.005 at 10.0:1 compression. Edlebrock Performer Carb and Intake, HEI , DUI , MSD Ignition ...blah blah blah : I know that alot of this stuff is important to some people but I can give you what was given to me when I bought it if its real important. The bottom line is its built right and has very very few miles on it since the $4000 worth of work was done and it is fresh. The transmission is a Muncie M21 4 Speed rebuilt with M22 Rockcrusher parts, Straight cut gears from M22 completely done 1200 miles ago , GM Flywheel Center Force Dula Friction Clutch, updated U joints and balanced drive shaft when the trans was done. Still has Factory Tags on the Trans and Differential. (If you need more detail then email me and I will read you the notes I have from the original owner) The Suspension was upgrades with a Hotchkis 2" Drop Springs, IAS Shocks,1 3/8 Sway Bar upgrade,A arm , bushings, spindles have been reconditioned and all 4 ball joints are new. It has boltin subframe connectors and one rail has been welded with traction bars added that give the vintage look. The Rear drums are new, wheel bearings packed, brake pads and calipers with fresh resurfaced rotors. New Firestone Indy 500 Tires (Brand new since taken from storage), 5 spoke Camaro correct wheels and center caps. The steering wheel (Grant GT Leather) is the security type that can be removed with a key (Key comes with), Dash pad was $550 and is brand new , interior is all brand new including headliner and it still needs dome light upgrade. Seat are excellent shape with no rips or anything and look new, the front seats lock in however the recliner part does not retract back like it should and the pass seat wont adjust to the multiple positions, back seats are like new and so is the carpet. Door panels were an arm and a leg and are in new condition..... Most of this I am reading right off of his list that he did back a few years ago , so when I say its brand new it means it was brand new before I stored it way back the but also "unused" since then as well. Here is what I can tell you on the car that will give you the biggest update, I have spent about $5k on the car since I owned it , I had the right wheels put on and new tires, correct stripes, shifter, turbo mufflers, glass in the doors , it had some etched glass with someone initials in them and I had them replaced , not sure why they do not roll up smooth like they should but I had the glass replaced and it need adjusting or replacing or whatever but it looks better that the personalized glass that was there. The pain it really nice ,(you'll see I lightened the pictures as much as I could and got as close as the focus would allow) a couple of spots back by the wing that I do not like, one large scratch by the lr that looks fresh like the transporter may have done it but not noticeable at that time , once I washed it it showed up (its down low).Whoever buys it will have to take some cleaner or thinner and get some of the overspray off that I do not like but its not a really a big deal, the wiper need to be addressed (not there), it ran like poop when I finally got it shipped and smelled like old old gas, I ran it and drove it till it finally ran out and I added new fuel and it started to sound and run great , nice lope, good idle , no smell but I know it still have to be checked into or freshened properly, plan on finishing some things and things that seem to just happen when thing sit up for a long time, one headlight , blinkers, all that kind of stuff that just seems to happen. The chrome and stainless all the way around is excellent so nothing needed there. Not sure why it seems hard to steering since storage but drives straight and is very tight, actual overly tight. Stops good , does not run hot , I have had it sit idle for a long time with no issues. Overall you are buying it as is and where is but I want the person to know that its been sitting for a while and it needs some hours put into it to make it right. If I had the time and money then I would not be listing this for sale, the Split Bumper RS cars are getting had to find (especially with Factory Tilt , cruise, 4 speed ,RS,split bumper and I do not know how to even check to verify the Z28 so I wont rep it or over-rep it.) These continue to go up in value even during this pinch of economy , however I can not endure the luxury of having it any longer and am letting it go. Please bid to win, inspected or have it done prior and pay within 3 business days or please please do not bid , I am not in a situation to deal with any difficulty of any sort so make it smooth and easy and I will let it go very reasonable and will help set up shipping to you. Good luck and please ask anything and I will try my best to get you the answer. PS> We have now moved to the Boise Idaho area and the car can be picked up here , I can't figure out how to change the address on Ebay but if you are reading this description and bidding then you know its IDAHO - IDAHO- IDAHO (we have moved from the #1 kidnapping capital in the USA - Arizona) .... Car can be pickup in Idaho or I will help get it set up for shipping since I have net 5 different shipper by moving here. Good Luck and NO RESERVE !
