Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my beautiful 1966 Triumph Bonneville T120! This classic bike was made to last. Starts from cold the first or second kick, shift through gears perfectly, runs strong and sounds mean! This bike has been kept under cover to the best of my knowledge for it's life. It sat in a garage 2 years before I bought it. Prior to me buying this the previous owner had switched from the Bonneville 2 carb setup to a single carb 1967 T6R6 motor. I was never able to ask for what reasons but the bike is fantastic nonetheless. The midnight blue paint on the oil cover and gas tank is in great shape. There's a little flaking around the gas cap, but not bad at all. The metal is clear from any scrapes or dents and the chrome is in decent shape. The wheels could use to be re chromed. As it is a 1966, there are some very minor issues typical to it's age. Front brakes are a little grabby. Not bad until you brake from about 55 mph then you have to finesse them. The ignition key and switch are not working. I think the key was lost over the years and was just bypassed. It does not have the front fender. Speedo cable was pinched and not working. I have the speedo cable, throttle cables and a new oil filter and also put new rubber covers on the shifter and kick start and a new gas cap. Miles read 1836 but I HIGHLY doubt that's all there is on this bike. Just sayin'. I am not a BSA bike expert nor do I play one on TV. If you have any questions at all PLEASE ASK!!!!!!!!!!! I will fully disclose anything as this is a great solid bike that's going to make someone really happy to own. If you are in the area and you want to ride the bike I have no problems with that. I need $500 down end of auction (paypal is fine) and the balance in cash within 7 days. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!!!!!! On Apr-09-11 at 09:07:09 PDT, seller added the following information: It was just brought to my attention that the motor is actually manufactured in October of 1972 (NG) and its the 5 speed. Model. Thanks Woody for catching that. Any other questions please ask! I AM NOT an authority on these bikes!!!!!!
