For Sale 1953 Ford F500 Dump Truck 3.9 ltr Flathead V-8 4 Speed Manual Transmission with granny 3.5 Ton Dump Bed 44,000 miles Clear title Minor rust Runs Great! The vehicle does have damage to the driver side door and front fender. I recommend replacing the door, and window, and I have been told by 2 body shops that the fender can be repaired. The door is the same door that fits in an F-100 that is sold in the LMC catalogue. The vehicle has not been driven in approximately 6 months, but it will start up and run great! The dump bed operates and works, and the back gate can be adjusted to spread gravel, or it will fold down on the lock hinges and operate like a normal tail gate. The vehicle was restored by its previous owner around 1996, but it set out in the weather afterwards. There is minor rust, I recommend replacing the door, I had a guy back into it while it sat out on the street, and it ripped a crease in the door. The tires have plenty of tread left on them. The rear end is approximately 648 gear ratio and it has been converted into a 12 volt system. It has an alternator and the origional starter. No major modifications have been done to the engine that I am aware of. I purchased the truck 3 years ago, and only placed 2000 miles on it. The truck was drivable when I parked it. This would be a great restoration project, or a hand around the farm or property! The vehicle is located in Clarksville, TN. This item is being sold AS-IS with no warrantees. I replaced all 4 rear wheel cylinders, and brake HOSES, I have not replaced the main metal line. The brakes will probably have to be bled, it has been sitting for 5 months. It is cranked on a regular basis, once or twice a month, but not driven. Truck bed: I forget the exact length of the bed, but I do remember it will hold 3.5 cu yards easily, or 4 cu yards topped off. Bondo: There is some bondo noticable on the front lip of the hood. It is cracked from sitting in the weather. There are NO major bondo fills on this truck, the cab is solid. Its not perfect, its a 58 year old dump truck, but it is in pretty good condition!
