When I was looking for a Metropolitan, I wanted an original, complete car with no collision damage and rust free. I found that car and purchased it in Palm Springs, CA. I had it shipped Bend, OR 5-6 years ago. All mechanical components of the car were gone over and brought up to standard. This car has a strong engine and runs through the three manual gears evenly and smoothly and brakes well. After the mechanics were looked at I sent it to the paint shop where all parts were taken off. At that time I replaced a few items on the car, ie: new tinted windshield with gasket, gasket for rear window, front badge, steering horn button, exterior door handles, bevels around rear lights with gaskets. The rest of the trim was polished, buffed out and returned to the car with these new items. Engine #: 15F-N-H-183011 (1500 CC engine) VIN #: E77649 Body #: 78652 Paint # P914, P908 Trim #: T1971 Model #: 562 Mileage: 61,157 (odometer works, but this mileage is not confirmed). I am selling the car because we have been fortunate to sell our home, which has a triple car garage, and downsize to a home with a double car garage and less than half the size of the home that we are now living. I am not a "car guy" but I did commute to college in a Metropolitan. I felt that by purchasing a Metropolitan that somehow I might return to those days of greatness.
