Up for auction this week is a beautiful Triple Black 1977 Cadillac Coupe Deville in great condition inside and out. This car has lived its whole life in East Los Angeles, CA. Its a true rust free Southern California car! This is the debut year for the sleeker redesigned Deville lineup, replacing the bigger Cadillac's of the early 70's. Also gone was the fuel guzzling 500ci, which was replaced with the all new Cadillac 425ci V8. We purchased the car out of an estate, and it had been in storage and it was last registered for use on the road in 1997. Hence the low mileage of only 81k! The car still looks and runs great! The car was repainted less than 300 miles ago, so the paint looks brand new with no chips or scratches. It is an overall very nice driver quality job that was been rubbed to a smooth as glass shine. The rear filler panels do appear to have been replaced when the car was repainted, so they are nice and have no cracks. This car is a totally solid, rust free Southern California car its whole life. The underside of the rockers, quarters, fenders, and floor boards are solid as a rock. All correct trim and emblems are present and in great shape. The chrome is in good condition. The vinyl top is very nice as well with no rips or tears. All of the glass is original and the windshield is crack-free. The car also still retains its correct hubcaps to keep this Caddy Classy. The interior is nearly all original and in excellent condition. Parts of the seat have been redone, but correct leather was used, not cheap vinyl. It matches very well and looks original. Door panels and carpet are all very nice. The dash has one crack down the center. But, the car has a dash mat. We can also order a dash cap if desired. All of the rubbers throughout the car have remained in like new condition and are still very soft and pliable. Power windows, locks, seat, antenna, wipers, and defog work correctly. The climate control was just serviced and works correctly with cold A/C. The trunk compartment is in good condition and has all of the original cardboard and original black carpeting which looks very nice. There is a trunk mat as well which is in great shape. The spare is also still aboard as well as the jack and all original tools. Mechanically, this Cadillac runs GREAT! This car features the 425ci Cadillac V8. The engine starts right up and runs very smooth. The transmission shifts smooth as well. Under the hood is very clean. The car handles and rides just like a Cadillac should! The receipts from the previous owner show that this car was well maintained. The car recently had the rear axle seals, brakes all around, A/C service, front bushings, and the engine was resealed so it is tight with no leaks. The car includes one set of original keys, spare tire, jacking equipment, owners manual, and service records. The car still also has its original California blue plates which were last registered in 1997. All in all, this is one nice Cadillac. Its classy triple black and gets compliments every time I drive it. It has been well maintained and truly loved by its previous owner. These 70's era Cadillac vehicles are becoming more and more collectible as the older ones disappear into collections, especially well maintained, super low mileage, California cars like this. This Cadillac is the kind of condition you can enjoy everyday or save it as an investment because with the kind of condition it is and its classic bodylines, it is now and will forever be a classic.
