Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1987 Toyota MR2, 5 Speed Manual, with some accident damage over the winter. The car runs perfectly fine and doesn't leak other than a drop or 2 on occasion, and it doesn't smoke. The engine is in perfect working order. The transmission works fine other than 2nd gear occasionally grinds if you try to shift at higher RPMs. The transmission does NOT have the 5th gear popout problem. The car was wrecked over the winter and you can see the damage in the pictures (in front of the drivers door and the rear drivers quarter panel). The windshield is cracked and needs to be replaced and this car would be drivable in its current condition. The body work can be repaired and doesn't appear to have any major problems. Some of the dash plastic is cracked, mainly under the dash and part of the steering column from the accident, but everything works fine. There are a LOT of good parts on this car. The Engine runs great, I've replaced the Water Pump, Alternator, Battery, Fuel Pump, Timing Belt, Distributor/Wires/Plugs, and a few gaskets here and there to stop oil leaks. I replaced a few of the suspension bushings with Urethane ones and the car handles like a go cart and sticks to the road. I also put on new 17" Koenig Black Sideways 4-100 Wheels/Rims and Toyo Proxes 4 205/40 ZR17 Tires. The Tires have about 8000 miles on them, otherwise they are basically brand new! The wheels and tires cost $800+ alone. One of the center caps fell off (I'm sure you can get one from Tire Discounters or your local tire place or online). There is an older Pioneer CD player included. Also from the pictures you can see custom speaker boxes behind the seats and an additional 4channel amp and a single sub behind the passenger seat. These boxes keep the seats forward a few inches of an already small car, so beware if you are over 6ft tall you shouldn't even bother looking at this style MR2. The stereo and CD player sound pretty good. I believe all of the speakers are in good working order and are either Pioneer, Blaupunkt, Sony, or Punch (all good quality, not OEM speakers). This car also has a working car alarm and automatic door locks. I've owned this car since 2004 and has been garaged most of the time. This car is AS-IS. If you have any questions please ask.
