1961 Mercury Meteor 600 turquois two door post. Bought this car to restore and then 401K crashed. Found in barn a few years ago while bailing a farmers hay. Thought it looked like a good prospect for restoration so I bought it and then economy crashed. It had a straight six in it that I removed intending to replace with a 351W that I also purchased. Odometer shows 59,000 and previous owner said that was actual millage so take that for what it is worth. Have both engines and I will let eather one go with car. Also have original three speed transmission for the six or three speed transmission and bell housing for the 351W. Both engines would have to be overhauled. Also have bucket seats out of a early 60's model t-bird I would let go with car. Have all the stainless trim for the car except fender ornaments and trim where hood is damaged. Inteded to restore old school with mercuiser skerts, laker pipes, lowered with flipper hub caps on front. Car has some surface rust, as you can see from pictures, with no rust through anywhere that I know of. Floor pans feel solid but have not removed old carpet. If now one is interested in restoring I would part it out so if someone is interested in parts let me know and if car does not sell I would list parts off it. Local pickup only.
