for sale is my 1971 cadillac ..an overall excellent example with less than 40,000 miles/ everything about the car is like new with the exception of needing only a new headlight switch ( the lights do work currently as I wired a new line) interior and all other exterior lights , cornering/courtesy lights, brake & turn signals work, horn works, all 4 windows work very well ( rear drivers side is a bit slow at begining of driving season but loosens up once its been used a couple of times, Im sure it just needs lubrication but I didnt care to remove door panel to do so) interior is very clean , has the optional leather seats with no damage and virtually no wear/ carpets are not worn or dry rotted/ steering wheel - dashboard is as new / headliner is perfect/ paint is excellent and has only a few very minor touch ups/ trunk is immaculate/ bumpers and chrome all around excellent/ no body repairs or bondo, however there is one very small dent on drivers side front fender noticable upon close inspection and some rust bubbling on lower passenger side fender but thats the worst and a very easy fix if you want to make a show car of it..car is really just been broken in as mileage has improved a bit from when I first purchased it 10 years ago with 30,000 miles/ undercarriage is completely solid with factory undercoating still very much pliable fresh and intact; only very minor and limted superficial surface oxidation anywhere,, without hesitation I can honestly say it would probably classify as an number 2 condition car ,but Im no expert but I do consider my myself a well informed enthusiast as Ive been studying automobiles my entire adult life of nearly 50 years!, its not some tired old relic thats been driven and restored.. I have done routine maintenence over the years plugs wires rotor cap, points, vaccuum lines, hoses and other such things as new front disc brakes, new carb about 4 years ago new radiator 1 year ago, all new tires about 2 years ago/ vinyl top is excellent shape also/ mechanically its been absolutely 100% reliable and never stalled/ drives straight and true and cruises the way only this type of car can and would put most any modern car to shame in its superior road manners notwithstanding this is a 40 year old car and technology.always starts easily.. only other things it does need attention devoted to would be the rear exhaust resonator has developed a slight hum around 45- 50 mph for some reason , but is otherwise silent at all other speeds. I believe the exhaust system is also original to this car but Im not completely certain. the interior heater core had a small leak and was by passed . the air conditioning does blow cool air but not very cold so Im sure it needs a recharge of freon. I drive this car only during nice weather so its imperfections never bothered me.
