Greetings eBay Car Fanatics - Once Again I have an opportunity to help a friend find a home for a unique whip. This rare gem is currently up for auction by Bob's Pawn Shop of Salina Ks. The vehicle is on display at the store during business hours where you may view, test drive, and ask all the questions you like. Your point of contact is Joe the owner, he can be reached at (785) 825-2828. Bob’s Pawn Shop1601 N 9th StSalina, KS 67401(785) 825-2828 This is a nice collector item in very good condition. I did notice a few dings here and there that don't show clearly in the pictures and the valve cover was leaking oil at the time. This vehicle is sold as is with no warranty implied. I always encourage serious bidders to view the vehicle personally if you have the opportunity. Buyer arranges pickup / transportation. Foreign Bidders Must Message prior to bidding or you will be banned from auction. Original Plymouth Cricket Commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbeJ9TJirLU History and Fun Facts 1971–73: Plymouth Cricket for North America In North America, the Avenger was sold as the Plymouth Cricket through Plymouth dealers as a captive import. The car was essentially an example of badge engineering and Plymouth made few changes to it. Only the 4-door saloon and 5-door estate variants were ever offered, due to the 2-door Avenger being unavailable at the time. A Chrysler Plymouth press release dated 30 June 1970 stated that the Cricket was going to be shown to the automotive press for the first time in November 1970. The first shipment of 280 Crickets from the UK arrived in the U.S. on 20 November 1970. Another press release issued on 23 February 1972 stated that the "station wagon" version was going to début in early spring of 1972. The 1500 cc engine was offered on the Plymouth Cricket, the 1250 being a little underpowered for American tastes. Side parking lights were added, and front disc brakes were standardized; these were originally optional in the UK. The single carburetor / manual choke combination was standard.
