Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over retail by eliminating all of the overhead expenses that traditional dealers pass down to you. I personally test drive each vehicle at least 30 miles. before listing it so that I can tell you exactly how each one looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this car based completely on my time behind the wheel and personal observations. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. Vehicles are not reconditioned, serviced or inspected. You are buying exactly how I buy...but safer because nobody tells me anything about the car. I welcome all questions about this or any vehicle. Personal inspections are encouraged whenever possible. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a gorgeous 1998 Ford Explorer Sport in exceptional condition. This example is presented in a two tone black over gray exterior with chrome wheels. Walking around the outside of this truck, you will find that it is in excellent condition for the year. The black paint has a mile deep shine and looks great from any angle. Of course, you will find a scratch here and there but nothing major. I looked this one over and couldn't find a spec of body rust! Not even at the rocker panels where these usually rot out. All of the glass is in tact. The factory chrome wheels are in excellent condition and are wrapped in matching Michellin's with deep tread all around! This is a great looking truck.. The interior of this Explorer is in excellent condition as well. This truck is completely loaded with every available option for the year if memory serves me correctly. I'm talking leather interior, power seat, power sunroof, remote entry, Mach Audio system and even little lights under the side mirrors to illuminate the ground in front of the doors as you walk up. And those are in addition to all of the usual features like power windows, locks, mirrors, rear defrost, ect... The remote entry works as it should. As far as I can see, everything inside the truck is working as it should. The leather interior is in excellent condition and shows no signs of wear. The carpets and headliner are in good condition. The factory Mach audio system has been upgraded to a fancy Sony CD player that is XM ready and comes with a remote control. The climate control works as it should and the air conditioning is ice cold. Mechanically, this Explorer is in good running condition. The big six starts right up and runs well. During my test drive, this truck ran great. The engine held proper operating temperature and oil pressure. There were no warning lights on. I saw no evidence of any active leaks present. On the road, this truck has excellent manners. The suspension and steering are both tight and responsive as they should be. The brakes stop the truck as they should. At highway speeds, she drives strait as an arrow. There is no vibration in the front end and there is no pulling when you let your hands off of the wheel. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts like it should. These trucks use a great 4wd system. In normal operation, it is in AWD mode which applies power as needed to each wheel independently. You can also select traditional 4x4 high range and low range for challanging situations. The only bad thing I can say is that this truck has a small exhaust leak around the middle. It's most noticable under heavy throttle. During normal driving, it's hard to tell but it will require attention sooner or later. The 4.0 is a great engine that seem to be relatively trouble free. This is one of the nicest older Explorers I've seen in a while. Finding one optioned like this makes it all the better. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
