Vehicle Detail
Up for auction a 1969 Mercury Cougar Convertible, Original 351W with 145K Original Miles and also Original FMX Auto Trans, Originally a light yellow car but has been repainted to white and still has the Original Fawn Interior which actually is still very presentable, very nice dash pad with No cracks, PS, Power Disc brakes on the Front, Power convertible top wich works perfectly and has recently been replaced, will need the rear window replaced to be perfect, overall the interior could use some cosmetics, and a new carpet to freshen up a bit, the exterior will need paint but is very solid overall, all Original panels are very straight and line up nicely, few minor dents. The undercarriage just barely has surface rust, Original floor pans are very nice wih no patches, frame rails/torque boxes look really nice also (see pictures), this would make a perfect candidate for a very nice restoation, only some bubbling in corners of doors like most have and very bottom of quaters, NO Original body panels were ever replaced or need to be replaced, just a few small patches, this car was Originally from the West Coast and was just recently shipped to me, will need tires/ possible brakes, will nees A/C Components if you wanted A/C to function, all venting is still in the dash and could easily be istalled with a newer A/C System. Only 2 owner car that has been in dry storage for 17 years per previous owner and had been drained of old gas, fuel pump had been changed and fired right up after 17 years, would recommend going through belts/hoses before driving. Please only serious Bidders, a $500 Non-Refundable Deposit due immedietely after auction ends and the balance due within a week in a cashiers check or Bank Wire Tranfer, getting very hard finding these older Cats in this condition, especially Convertibles, Please ask questions before placing bids, I can assist you in finding a reasonable transporter, Good Luck Bidding!!!
