My husband and I bought this FJ in June of 2008. We paid $10,000 for it and have put about $1700 while owning it. Since we’ve had the Cruiser, the work that has been done is: · Carburetor rebuilt · Rear main seal replaced · Disc brake rotors (2) replaced · New battery placed when purchased · All belts replaced · Thermostat regulator and housing replaced · Radiator hoses replaced · Radiator flushed · Fuel hose replaced · Clutch master and slave cylinder replaced · Starter and selonoid replaced This is a great FJ 40 that runs very nicely. It has 267,355 miles on the odometer. It had been modified with custom roll bars and a lift kit by the previous owner. There is NO hard top. It does come with a bikini top and soft top and soft top frame. The soft top fit very snuggly due to the roll bars, so we have just left the bikini top on while we have owned it. The soft top is not in perfect condition, with some tears that have been taped. The front seats have been recovered with cloth but the back jump seats are original leather with a few cracks. The inside floor in covered with a bed liner spray. It is painted white, but you can tell this is not the original color when looking under the hood. There is some rust and it will probably need a new paint job at some point. This is a great weekend vehicle that needs to be started regularly and needs mechanic upkeep to stay running smoothly. I realize that at some point during the listing of this cruiser that I made a mistake with the year. So to be clear this is a 1977 FJ 40 Toyota Land Cruiser (not a 1997). It has a rearview mirror and a driver side side mirror but no side mirror on the passenger side. The engine is original and has not been rebuilt. It runs great at this point due to the mechanic work my husband has had done while we have owned the cruiser. Thanks
