Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is one remarkable little car! My wife thought she had done enough research, but as it turns out, it’s just a little too small for her traveling needs. We bought it here on Ebay a few months ago from someone who used it as their occasional “fun car”. It made the 700 mile journey home just great. (You wonder about these things sometimes…… but it worked out just fine.) Good steering, brakes, safe handling in wind, etc. Since that time it has been parked in our garage, waiting for warmer weather and enough time to actually get it up for sale again. It's what we would call immaculate for a 20 year old vehicle. That’s certainly the interior from ceiling to floor. The Geo trouble spots by the arms aren't bad either. (We’re not up on all the Geo lingo and issues, but have a beginning knowledge.) The pictures will hopefully speak for themselves. If you'd like specific pictures or information about anything, please ask - beforehand. Yes, that's the actual mileage. It’s an automatic, and we got 35 mpg on our maiden voyage home. Additional features include working air-conditioning and a radio. We can personally vouch for the heater being more than is needed in winter too! The back seat also flips forward to make a larger cargo area (pictured with the only spot it has - oil?). No wear on the leading edge of the driver's seat. Known defects (pictured): a passenger back door that does not open from the inside (all hardware is there, just doesn’t connect/broken? inside the door somewhere, I guess) (would be a great safety feature for kids!), fiberglass repair to driver's floor by door/underneath, a couple dents on the outside and a chip out of a turn signal. Everything seems to be in good working order: lights, turn signals, wipers. Hatch hydraulics work okay. Must’ve been well cared for along the way. Starts and runs fine, winter-tested only. Had a slight shaking problem due to 4 mismatched tires, but now has a very good used set of 13 inch tires. Standard is 12 inch, so the speedometer is slightly skewed and registers 3-4 mph less than you are actually driving. Former wheels and caps go with it, if you want. The oil was changed just before we bought it and still looks good. No fluid drips. No one has been smoking in this vehicle (very important to her) and all the knobs and handles are intact. Really a nice unit! Too bad it’s inches too small for her needs…….. A clear title is in hand. It passed the former (NJ) state-required inspections, which we hear are stringent and is good for more than a year. Have tag off the car, but in hand. Owner's manual in glove box. We would be happy to work with anyone coming from a distance to get it. If you have situational questions, please ask. We like everyone to know what they’re getting into and be happy at the end. We know what it’s like to drive hundreds of miles only to find something significantly less than advertised….. how many times??? For sale "as is", as usual. We intend to go through with the auction to completion; however it is also for sale locally, so we are reserving the right to end it early if necessary. We are asking for a non-refundable $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction close to help weed out non-payers and non-communicators, and the rest in cash when you come to look at it (which you can also do beforehand) and take possession. These parameters are not options when you fill out the ad template, but they would be our preference. We would hope you could make arrangements to pick it up soon, but we can work with you on a case-by-case basis. Thanks for looking and reading! Happy bidding!!
