The paint on the car is finished in it gorgeous original color of Code 606 Maple Yellow and is in very nice condition with a beautiful shine and luster. The car was repainted at some point in the past, which is to be expected on a 35 year old car. However the car shows no evidence of rust or accidents whatsoever. The car doesn't have a single ding and only shows a few chips (All Touched Up) here and there from use over the years. The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as any west coast car should be with absolutely ZERO RUST. The car is riding on new, original style Mercedes 14" chrome wheels with like new Kumho radials. All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in great shape. The black soft top was replaced at some point in the past and looks good with no tares or holes. The hard top has good seals and the headliner is in awesome shape. The interior is also in very good shape all around and is 100% original as well. The door panels, seats and carpets are in very good condition. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows and antenna also are fully functional. The sound system is also very nice with the newer Pioneer CD radio. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should. The trunk is all complete with the original rubber mat, original Michelin spare, correct jack and a tool kit. Mechanically, this SL runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. The V8 engine is surprisingly quick and responsive. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. The car was always regularly serviced by Mercedes authorized dealers. The service book is stamped for all regular oil changes up to about 40k, and then was serviced at independent Mercedes service facilities. Less that 2 years ago a major service was done including new heads, head gaskets, fuel injector seals, and full tune up with new parts and cost the previous owner over $6,500! Also I just had the car in after purchasing it and had a full oil service done as well as cleaned the fuel system and made sure it was running tip top. The car will include 2 Keys, tool kit, original spare tire, top removal tools, maintenance books and owners manuals and service paperwork.
