For sale is our super reliable 1991 Mazda Miata with only 117,172 miles. This car is in excellent running condition and it has never let us down. The car has had very regular maintenance and runs great. The 5 speed manual shifts smooth and handles well. The air conditioner blows cold and the catalytic converter and water pump were replaced last summer. This car has been my wife's daily driver for the past three years and has been rock solid, but we have decided to upgrade to a more family friendly vehicle so we have decided to let this fun two-seater go.THE GOODWe have replaced a lot on this car over the past couple of years. Here is what is new and recent:Brand new brakes all the way around - pads and rotors Brand new right front ball joint - it was worn out so I replaced it with new Catalytic converter & water pump are both less than 1 year old Air conditioner is less than 1 year old 2 of 4 tires less than a year old Original owner's manual Regular maintenance + lots of little stuff THE NOT SO GOODThis car is 20 years old, so even though I consider it to be solid, it is not without some needs:With all the snow we have had lately, the convertible top window ripped, so the top will need to be replaced unless you just want to run it as is - no rain comes in at all. The driver side window actuator needs to be replaced - motor is burnt out. About $150 would be typical for this repair. There is a small tear in the passenger door upholstery that you can see in the pics The steering wheel fabric is worn and there is a small tear in the fabric around the stick shift THE UGLY There are rust spots developing that I can see that are just surface. However, there are rust areas on the rockers near the rear wheel arches and on the arches themselves on both sides that will need real attention. This is why the reserve on this Miata is lower then you see on others. See the attached pics to see specific shots of the rust.
