Up for sale and auction is a 1969 GMC 2500 3/4 ton 2wd pick up, it has the original 350 V-8, 4-Speed Manual transmission with the compound low gear. The 350 V-8 has 55k miles on a rebuild, Aluminum Radiator, Edelbrock Performer Intake, Carter AFB Black Stallion 4-Barrel Carburetor, Manual Steering, Manual Brakes, and a Rear Slider Window. The heads were switched over to 1985 GM heads to burn the new unleaded fuel and the distributor is 1985 GM with electronic ignition. Everything works, lights, wipers, heater, windows, clutch, brakes, tires are like new with a matching spare, just replaced thermostat and heater core so the heat and defrost blows nice and hot. This truck is turn key, runs and drives excellent, a daily driver and took road trips yearly from Oregon to Alaska since 1970 so its very dependable. Drive it home if you'd like. Things the truck needs is: A new windshield, their is rust in the lower rockers right below the doors (see pics) new rockers can be purchased for approximately 43.00 each (under the doors are solid). The truck has normal dings, scuffs, and scratches for a 42 year old. The interior has a seat cover and I have never taken it off, I have put my hand under the cover and I can feel tape. The dash is nice and has no cracks at all. Fuel guage does not work, I've been using a rubber hose to check fuel levels. The gentleman who had owned the truck since 1970 to approximately 1995 (before handing it off to his daughter) rebuilt the engine every 100k miles. He took yearly trips to Alaska and this was his way of maintaining his truck and I thank him for doing so. You can park this truck in your nice driveway or garage and not worry about oil leaks. License plates are good till march of 2012.
