For sale is this low miles, garage kept 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a 350, 4 barrel engine and a 350 automatic transmission. It runs great and has only 108852 miles total as the odometer just flipped over. The car comes with all the documentation to prove the mileage. It has been garage kept since the late 70s and the body has extremely limited rust issues for its age. There are no issues with the floor pans or trunk floor. The front fenders are also very clean. You can tell its seen very little outdoor time by looking at the door hinges (no door flop!) and surrounding metal, cowl, trunk edges, bumper ends, etc. The bottoms of the doors, trunk lid and hood are RUST FREE! This car did have a green vinyl top at one time but it was removed and the car was re-painted the factory green. It has had some fender benders over the years but the body is really not that bad for the vintage as all dents are easily repairable. You could drive it and look great as is, do the body work as time permits and paint it when the funds are there. I drive it as is all the time and have no issues with the little problems the body has, people still love it! The interior is way above average and extremely clean with solid seats and no sag. The front seat material will need some repair but you could probably just get away with repair rather than full replacement. The carpet is perfect. The door panels are PERFECT as are the back panels and back seat. All glass is well sealed, clean and the front windows roll up and down with no issues. Tires are in good useable condition, just older whitewalls, nothing special. It comes with all 5 factory ordered 15X7 Chevy rally wheels, rings and new stainless center caps. Even the spare tire is a 15X7 Chevy rally! The spare and entire jack assembly are intact and clean. The chrome on this car is in wonderful condition with no rust or corrosion issues. The front and rear bumpers shine like a new penny and are arrow straight including the bumper guards. The grille and headlight and tail light bezels are perfect and bright with no pitting. The front bumper filler is perfect with no cracks and the car had the rear fillers until I washed the car and they fell apart: they just didnt make them to last. The 350CI engine is super clean, does not smoke or use oil, it starts with ease and all major components like the alternator, starter, wires, plugs, heater valve, fuel pump, etc. have been replaced or rebuilt recently. ALL the hoses, air pump, carb vents, egr valve, EVERYTHING is exactly placed as the factory did it: if you like original, its here. The engine puts alot of power on the ground, its not a high horse power engine but I believe you will be pleased that it has more than enough power to get you moving and it cruises so smooth! For a big car it can really handle every curve of the road. The 350 transmission also shifts flawlessly. The air conditioning still works in this car! It still uses the old freon system and it could use a re-charge or replacement with R12 but it does work right now. The compressor works and the air blows cold... heat works as well! This has a tilt steering column and the optional AM radio with the factory 8 track player: it tries to come on but there is no sound from the speakers. It has working power steering, power brakes and discs on the front. The brakes work fantastic with a new master cylinder. It has a non-posi 10 bolt with a rear sway bar and new rear shocks. The front shocks were replaced in the recent past and there is a front sway bar as well. The radiator has been gone thru and the entire system cools the engine well with no issues. The fuel system is perfect: good carb, no line leaks, nice gas tank, sending unit, etc. Its got a new battery and all the lights work, the horn works, wipers, the gas gauge works, the speedometer and other gauges are all good to go. This is a good looking car, it has low miles and is ready to drive right now. Im not saying it wont need future repair work to improve her but it will be something you can handle, no major parts, no major money!
