Thankyou. The above may sound forbidding, but it is intended to ensure an easy transaction without misunderstandings. My beautiful 1969 Coupe de Ville Convertible in Triple Black is offered for sale as we are downsizing homes to an apartment with miserable parking space. This was the most elegant model of the last great rear wheel drive convertibles. Given an expensive restoration in '08,with the following renewed or replaced: 472 motor pro rebuilt Just rebuilt,the TH400 gearbox and torque converter.(with receipt & guaranteed). Beautiful soft leather seats with the heady perfume of expensive hides.(reputably at a cost of $4000) Refinished top bows,new convertible top with glass back window and new weatherstrips New top motor and lines New visors,carpets,crested mats and 4 seatbelts. Custom Auto Sound 630 with MP3 fitted in original housing.Matching under-seat speakers.Auto Antenna. Replaced electric window switches(all work). Power seats work fine,as does the clock. Regassed air/climate control blows cold/hot. Replaced Radial Whitewalls on newer 8" rims. Front disc conversion, new pads and rear wheel cylinders. Front -end rebuild,new exhaust. Much re-chroming and stainless repolished. Beautiful refurbished grille and lights. Many new badges and accesories, some, like the steering wheel, aluminium fan shroud and mirrors are not original,but very cool-looking.Handbook, sales catalog,Gold Crest keyring,black leather crested cap included. New wiper motor and washer.All lights and signals function. Floors and underneath all rustfree and solid,undercoated. Etc.,etc. Title says 118,000 actual miles,changed speedo now says 12000 (original broke), Quite the list! There are no bills for the restoration,previous owner did not supply them, but the work speaks for itself. This car gets so much attention,brings smiles and waves,and has been photographed by many-it never stops. The car drives,starts,steers and stops exactly as it should, without smoke,smells,rattles or drama.A fine cruiser, but NOT a Pebble -Beach or Barret-Jackson Show Car.Not for $12950,but great value as a fun cruiser to give pleasure to you,your friends and family.If you expect a new or concours restoration, don't bid; realistic expectations will be delighted. OK, I told you what's good, here's what needs attention if you want to take it to the next level.My honest disclosure will ensure you know what you're getting. The paintwork looks great from 5 feet away, but on close inspection you can see it has some flaws,touch ins,and even a few little bubbles from poor preparation,not rot.A little spent on correction would increase the value enormously. Rear bumper chrome is starting to discolor in the recesses,(see last photo),with a couple of tiny blisters and will eventually need to be redone.Please note that the chrome was coated with WD40 at time of photos (forgot).There is no pitting of the pot metal-how rare is that! The high-end new radio has developed an earthing problem, I think, and needs fixing, and the power door locks fool you into thinking they are locked when they're not.Adjustment needed.The parking brake has a vacuum problem somewhere,and won't release when you put her in drive,you have to do it manually,so I don't do it at all.Tiny chip in screen. I think that's it,bits and pieces,live with 'em or fix 'em up and have a $20k car.I don't have the time now, we're moving soon and my loss can be your gain.
