Vehicle Detail

Had to relist due to a 0 feedback member. Serious bidders only!! Those with 0 feedback must contact before bidding/using buy it now AND have paypal account! Whole lots of info on this truck, so hold onto your hats, folks. This pickup is a 1 owner and has been very well cared for since the day it was purchased. It has been garaged or kept under a car port most of it's life, and the body is almost completely free of rust. There are minor scratches on and around the bed, because this truck was used for every day use and work use. It only started to rust recently in a few places, and is still very solid and attractive. The rust spots are pictured, one spot on the driver fender well, one spot around the driver door, and one tiny spot near the passenger door, plus there may be just a tiny bit of surface rust along the bottoms of the doors, which is very common among any and all vehicles of moderate age. There are also a few scratches on the driver door from a dog I think. Just started the truck today, after it had been sitting for a few months, engine turned 3 times and fired up strong. The Vortec truly is one of the best engines GM ever produced, and even though this truck has a lot of miles on it, it still takes off like it's new and tows with a lot of power for a 'small' size pickup. Even though it's size category is not full size, I have to say it's one of the more comfy models of small pickups I have ever ridden in/driven. The steering is very responsive, and the abs breaks can stop the truck on a dime. I still can't believe how well it drives for it's age and mileage. Sticker Extras: 4.3 Liter V-6 Engine with EFI, Fully synchronized 5 speed automatic transmission, insta-trac 4x4 transfer case (Shift into four wheel drive on the go), full size spare tire/wheel, welded double-wall pickup box, variable ratio power steering, independent front suspension, disc/drum power brake system, 2 stage multi-leaf R R springs, Full frame construction 2 sided galvanized steel, Anti-chip protection, driver side airbag, 4 wheel anti-lock brakes, self-aligning steering wheel, Center high-mount stop lamp, Side door gaurd beams, LS Trim level, AM/FM stereo radio with clock and tape deck, Extend-range stereo speakers, Solar-ray tinted glass, volt, temp, oil pressure gauges, 20 gallon fuel tank, front tow hooks, side window defoggers, 60/40 deluxe cloth split-bench seat with recliners, full length cloth headliner, in-cab jack/wrench storage, intermittent wiper/washer, 10 inch day/night rear view mirror, touch-up paint, H.D. cooling system, 4 lead trailer wiring harness, 4 speed electronic automatic transmission with overdrive, air conditioning, 4.3 liter CPI V-6 gasoline engine, tilt steering wheel and cruise control, underbody shield package, electronic shift transfer case, sliding rear window, increased capacity chassis pack, 5150LB gvw rating, rear axle 3:42 ratio Owner Extras: Mud flaps, Reese Hitch, 2 door locking workbox, bed liner, 4x4 stripe package, K&N Air filter, Sylvania Silver Star headlamps, Mag wheels. We have done a decent amount of recent work to the truck including: New injector and interior fuel lines, New EGR Valve, New fuel pump and fuel filter, new rear shocks, New radiator, New coil, new turn signal/wiper switch, New alternator, new power steering pump, new catalytic converter, New tail light wiring harness, and recent brake pad job. Engine is original, and has never had any major work done, nor has it needed it, because it's oil has always been changed at 2000 miles. It still runs smooth (for a vortec as they have a gruff sort of idle but that's normal), and the transmission was rebuilt at around 160k miles, so it doesn't even have 100k on it yet. The electric motor that shifts the truck into 4 wheel drive was replaced along with the rebuild, and the 4 wheel drive shifts nicely and works just perfectly. It's setup nicely so if you hit slick roads, you take your foot off the gas, press the button, and keep going. As with most vehicles that sit around alot, it's had a few bugs. Right now the idle air control switch is a little sticky, so once in a while it will stay on high idle. Simple fix there is to shut the truck off for a few seconds then start it back up, and it'll run fine, nothing bad just silly. Even though it's been sitting alot, we've kept it on a battery float maintainer, so that the battery doesn't go dead and stale, so the battery is still in good shape and starts the truck up no problem. It's sad to see it sit as much as it has this past year, but we haven't had much need for it. The pair of spare tail lights that are bolted to the bed are fully functional, they were added when we were having a brake light problem that alot of the chevy small pickups are having as of late. There was even a recall on the 01-04 models. I've seen 80's 90's and 00's with this problem, even a Chevy Colorado! Replacing the turn signal switch seems to have locked the problem down, but there's nothing wrong with being more visible when stopping. Other than the light scratches and few rust spots, the plastic molding by the passenger side windshield is slightly cracked, photo included. The tires are slightly worn, and one was worn due to a poor alignment, and has been replaced with a new tire. Also, due to a vacuum leak inside the dash, the blower doesn't blow out of the vents, just foot/defrost, and the selector switch is broken, so right now the blower fan runs, but can't be turned off completely. Included in this auction that is going with the truck is the Reese hitch, 2 ball mounts (both 2" at different heights) 1 normal pin, 1 locking pin (with keys) and one wrench for adjusting the ball. We just don't need this vehicle any more, so it is priced to sell. We will not deliver the truck, but we will make the shipping process as easy for you as we possibly can if you need to ship the truck. Winning bidder is to pay $400 deposit via paypal within 3 days of auction close, and remaining amount at time of pickup. We will house the truck for up to 30 days for you if need be. I've put up all the best pictures of the truck I think I can, including a small star in the front windshield, but it's down in the lower corner and does not mess with visibility. Also included in the photos is a scan of the original dealer sticker. My grandmother loved this truck, and treated it like a baby, and it needs a good home. Bidding is starting ultra low, and reserve is also much lower than buy it now price. This truck is also listed locally, so it's a first come-first serve sort of thing. If you have any questions about this vehicle, please don't hesitate to ask! You can contact us through ebay, or call between 12pm and 10pm (309) 968-7668 anyone local can come and see the pickup at request. For these pictures we spent an afternoon detailing it, so it's well waxed and clean, and since then it's been in the garage to keep it that way. Thanks for looking!
