Vehicle Detail
1967 Austin Healey Sprite MKIV Car has the original A-series I4 1275cc engine. It runs great, I drive this car almost daily and have no major issues. It does have an electronic starter which works great, I would say it starts on the first or second try 90% of the time even when it's cold. The car does have a manual choke which also helps on cold starts. Racing exhaust sounds nice. All gauges work (speedometer has about a 10mph bounce at times). The odometer reads just over 60k miles but I can't verify that so I left it off of the description. As you can see in the pictures there is a black top cover that fits nicely but the snaps need to be replaced. Also, the convertible top is on the car but needs to be replaced. You can see in the pictures I have 2 shift nobs Black Leather and the Wooden style which is on the car now. The bumpers have never been on the car since i've had it, they are in decent shape, not show quality, and I think it would look better if they were on. You can see there is a replacement valance panel which would need to be put on before the bumpers were put back on. Interior of the car is solid, carpets could be replaced but really not too bad. Car shifts smooth, like a lot of old cars sometimes it doesn't like to go into first but after that it shifts smooth in all four gears. I took pictures under the floor mats on each side. The drivers side is solid and you can tell the passanger side has been replaced or covered fairly recently. Exterior of the car needs some work. You can see in the pictures there are no major wrecked areas but there are some smaller patched and dented areas. People have told me they are no big deal BUT the person I bought the car from didn't inform me of them so I am just trying to be honest. The "worst" area is under the drivers side view mirror. There is a large crack where it looks like someone tried to do some bondo work and just under that area it's not too smooth. The lower back part of the rear fenders is cracked and has some small rust spots (picture). The lower portion of the front corners where the bumper would be has been scrached on each side (picture). Ther are a couple small dents and the car needs to be repainted. People tell me I make a bigger deal out of all the stuff than I should but, agian, I'm just trying to be honest. People love these little cars, it's hard to go anywhere any not have someone stop and talk to you about it or ask what it is. It is a fun little car to drive but I do have to get rid of it. This is a relisting for this car, I added more pictures and information but please feel free contact me with any questions. LOWERED RESERVE FOR THIS AUCTION. CAR MUST GO!
