I HAVE UP FOR AUCTION A 1970 GMC SHORT WIDE BED PICKUP. THE TRUCK DOES HAVE A CHEVROLET GRILL IN IT BUT IS TITLED AS A GMC. IT HAS A VERY GOOD RUNNING '87 VORTEC 350 MOTOR AND 350 TRANSMISSION. THE MOTOR HAD ABOUT 106,XX MILES ON IT WHEN PULLED FROM A '87 GMC SUBURBAN, IT HAS A EDELBROCK INTAKE AND 1406 CARB. ON IT WITH A NEW HEI DISTRIBUTOR. IT DOES HAVE POWER STEERING, NO A/C, FACTORY SIDING BACK GLASS. I WOULD NOT BE AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS TRUCK ACROSS THE U.S., VERY DEPENDABLE. THE BODY DOES HAVE SOME RUST BUBBLES ON THE BED SIDES ABOVE THE FENDER WELLS AND AT ONE POINT IN ITS LIFE HAD SOME ROCKER PANNEL WORK AND THE FLOOR OF THE BED DOES HAVE SOME SMALL PINS HOLES IN IT. IT DOES HAVE DISC BRAKES ON FRONT AND DRUM ON THE REAR. I HAVE PUT A NEW WINDSHIELD, DASH PAD, DOOR SILL PLATES, NEW GLOVE BOX, SPARK PLUGS, FRESH OIL AND FILTER. THIS TRUCK IS NOT PERFECT(BODY WISE) BUT GOOD ENOUGH FOR DAILY DRIVER. THESE TRUCKS ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND. All lights and gauges do work as they should and will pass a safety inspection. The motor is a 1987 5.7 litter V8 350, it original had the throttle body injection on it but all that was replaced with new edelbrock aluminum intake, 1406 edlebrock card and new HEI distributor. If someone needs the engine block numbers I can get them. It may not be a vortec but I do know it is very strong and good running motor. The motor does not have any leaks or use any oil. The only gaskets that where changed was the intake, carb. and valve covers. Let me know if I can answer any more questions.
