1968 olds delmont 88 . . .has 455 and now has a 4brl . . . came stock with 2 brl but i recently changed it over because the 2 had a small leak . . My brother in law bought this car when he was 16 which was about 16 years ago and kept the maintance up and cruised it a few times a week up until 5 years ago . .he had to move outta town and could not take the car or keep up the maintance so he put it into storage fast forward to this january i purchased it off of him b/c he was in a bind for money and i had a roll back bring it to my house . . . i knew it ran and drove when last parked but i decided to pull the sparkplugs lub the cylinders with oil and do a compression test which all were 175 give or take a few lbs. I then put new plugs wires and points condensor and a 4brl with adapter . . . hit the key and viola it came right to life !!! I have replaced the fuel line and filters in at the front and put a good used set of 205/15's off one of my other cars . . The interior is complete and has electric seats . . . engine is for sure a 455 and the factory build sheet is still in the springs of the back seet and shows this and also shows it was sold new in tulsa where were from !! I dont have to sale the car and will start cruising it if it doesnt its just that i got tooooo many cars already !!! These pics were taken yesterday when i drove it to work for the first time (15 miles) . . . (previously had only driven it around the mile sections near my house) Shifts good cruises good and floats on down the high way !!! The drivers door does have a fair size dent you can see in one of the pics wouldnt be a hard fix but it has been there for about 10 years . I will have one of my co workers detail out the car today and get some new pics as soon as possible !!!
