This 1999 RAV4 is a great getting-around-car for students, commuters or parents who need to shuttle their kids back and forth. It's in good condition, well-maintained and 100% reliable. For the past couple of years, it's been parked on the street so it's picked up a few bumps and bruises. There's a ding on the roof where a branch fell on it and, on either side, small dents where it appears a bicyclist may have banged a knee. All three of these blemishes are pictured. Three other points of character: 1) The city of Washington, DC prohibits window tinting so the original tint had to be removed. You can see on the side passenger windows that they used to be tinted, while the rear windshield still contains a fair amount of tint. If you choose to, I'm told the best way to remove the remaining tint is with a hair dryer. 2) The gas cap cover sticks sometimes. 3) There's a small soldering burn on the passenger seat (pictured), courtesy of an effort to upgrade the sound system. Otherwise, this RAV4 is in excellent condition, and ready to serve your family for years to come. I am not the original owner of the RAV4. I purchased it in the Spring of 2006 from Irvine Toyota in Irvine, California. The RAV4 moved with me from California to Washington, DC in 2007. In September 2009, the RAV4 received a full inspection at Ourisman Fairfax Toyota in Fairfax, VA. They replaced the timing belt, the charcoal canister, the canister and valve assemblies, and the water pump. There are fewer than 3,000 miles on the new timing belt. The winning bidder must make a $300 deposit via Paypal within three days of winning the auction.
