This is a very clean with little rust 1970 catalina, the only rust is at the bottom of the back glass and both rear qaurters behind tires as you can see in pictures . The trans seams to work good I just put 4 brand new cooper tires on it , the engine is the original 400 - 2bbl - 290 hp ( 10:1 compression ) that has been rebuilt. ( it was in pieces when i got it ) , here is the list : block has been bored .040 , all new bearings . The crank is standared - standared and original just polished , rods have been resized , new pistons and rings , cyl. heads have had bigger exhaust valves installed with all new guides and one new seat and the rest just your standared valve job , they have been milled .010 and the exhaust flang side milled flat , new timing chain and gears and oil pump , new cam and lifters part #cs-1038r ( speed - pro ) . A/C stuff is all there ( not charged so i don't know if it works ) carb is all so rebuilt , i only drove this car 15 miles ( since engine rebuilt ) so it seems too run and drive great ( just needs fine tunning and tweeking ) , so what is wrong with it ? it needs left side upper control arm bushings and right side lower ball joint and brakes gone through , blower motor is hooked up to toggle switch . ( was that way when i got it ) . all lights , horn and wipers work . I just don't need another project.
