1974 VW Super Beetle. Family owned. My Grandfather bought this car new in Sept of 74 from Mike Patton VW in Lagrange, Georgia. My father bought it from him back in 85 and the car mostly sat in the garage. In 96 i bought the car from my father and have had it in my shop ever since. I probably drive it 8-10 time a year. The odometer stopped working in back in 97 with 59k original miles. I would estimate the miles now to be around 68k-70k. The oil was always changed every 2500 miles with regular valve adjustments. This car is completely original except for a paint job back in 99, and the front two seats were recovered in 87. The A/C hasnt worked in 20 years. The a/c fan and radio do not work either(maybe just a fuse). This car is very reliable. It can sit for 6mos and will fire right off. There are a few spots of rust on the back bumper. It leaks alittle brake fluid. Small oil leak around drain(prob just needs a new strainer gasket.1/4 of the bottom from window is foggy. One sunvisor is broken. My dog jumped up on the front and scratched it by the hood handle. The dash has a couple of cracks. Drivers seat needs to be recovered again. The seals around some of the windows could be replaced. No leaks anywhere. Tires have probably 300 miles on them. The little car runs like a charm. Uses no oil. Body is straight as a board. Never wrecked. Please email me if you have any questions.
