Vehicle Detail
"Original Owner" 1999 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 3/4 ton, 454 or 7.4L, 4 wheel drive, 4.10 gears, 4L80E transmission, Black with gray leather interior, heated, seats, 3rd row seating and power everything, CD and cassette player.. Cold a/c with front/rear controls. 158,870 well maintained miles. Runs and drives great. Truck is loaded with about every available option and I still have the window sticker that was $43k. Truck as been in the Dallas/Fort Worth north Texas area its entire life so it isn't a rust bucket. Never been mudding, off roading, hunting, etc. It also hasn't been the primary family vehicle with kids always eating in the back. So the interior and leather are extremely clean and in great shape with the usual wear on the drivers seat/armrest. I purchased the Suburban new in December of 1999. At one point it was titled in my fathers name and of course I still have the documentation to prove that. It has been extremely well maintained as I used to own an automotive repair shop. It has been a great truck and I planned to keep it much longer but I ended up purchasing a newer Suburban. It has had Mobil 1 synthetic 10/30 in it since 500 miles and has always had regular oil changes. Below will illustrate some of the maintenance and repairs. The black paint looks great but of course has wear/tear as evident in the pictures from scratches/chips/dents/dings. Obviously no rust issues. I have normally hand washed it and polished it myself. I just had a professional detail job done on it as well. The interior is very clean. It too was recently professionally detailed. I have always used Lexol on the leather so it is in great shape with the exception of the normal wear on the drivers seat and armrest. There are a few carpet stains here and there. It has third row seating as well. Drivetrain: Engine runs great as synthetic Mobil 1 has been used exclusively. The transmission fluid filter have been changed regularly as well as the differential. The transfer case has been rebuilt by Standard Transmission and Gear in Forth Worth. The air filter is pretty new and it isn't a K&N so you don't have to worry about codes from a dirty Mass Air Flow sensor. The catalytic convertors have been replaced by Midas. At 140k miles I replaced the shocks with Bilsteins all the way around. Serviced the transmission, both diffs, and this is when the transfer case was replaced. At 133k I replaced the spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, upper and lower intake gastets, valve cover gaskets. Other items replaced are the radiator, water pump, brake booster, power steering lines. I maintained this truck like I was keeping it forever. I didn't have the engine detailed since they normally powerwash everything and then spray it down with some shiny spray that can end up damaging electrical components. The wheels are the factory originals with Michelin LTX 265's that will need replacing soon. I have some Michelin ATX 245's that are in great shape that I will sell to the winning bidder if they are interested. This truck has a Kelly Blue Book Value of $8,500 but my reserve is far less than that. It is located in West Plano, TX and available for viewing anytime. I have a clear Texas title. I would love to keep the truck but just don't have room to keep it in our neighborhood. I will update this page with a link to see more pictures. Please email me with any questions. On Mar-01-11 at 07:05:09 PST, seller added the following information: Went through my notes, receipts last night. The truck did suffer some hail damage at one point and has had the rear drivers side door reskinned. I'll outline the dents/dings and tried to highlight them in the attached album. I just checked the history report and neither of these incidents are listed so let that be a warning to anyone putting too much faith in the history report. The top has some hail damage which you only see when you stand up on the running boards and rear tires when washing/drying. The drivers side has a dent in the rear door at the bottom and the front fender has one small ding. The back barn doors have 1 or 2 small dings or a small crease. The passenger side is the worst. It has a dent in the rear lower part of the door. A door ding by the passenger side door handle and 6-8 small dings/creases from some light hail. Here is a photo album with lots of pictures that specifically try to highlight all issues. http://s1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff455/Bryanl/On Mar-01-11 at 15:01:47 PST, seller added the following information: Again the only reason I am selling it is because I bought another suburban and I don't have room to keep it anymore. For anyone looking to ship the truck. I can drop it off at the local DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers) which is a regional hub for them. The suburban I just bought cost $800 to be shipped from Fresno, CA to Dallas (Mesquite), TX.
