Vehicle Detail

SPRING TIME READY --- Convertible This 560SL is a great running convertible that I would drive anywhere. It has a brand new metallic blackish paint job. Comes with the hardtop. Although not a new, perfect car, this is car is a great little car for the price and turns heads and gets lots of complements frequently. If I were top keep this car, there would be a several little things I would address as I continue driving it, but keep driving it as I make the improvements. Due to it's age, there are things that have weathered overtime and need replacing, but do not effect the overall drivablity or aesthetic of the car, mostly cosmetic interior stuff. A short, but not complete list would include, new center console wood (currently has passable wood looking cover, (most will never notice)) shifter mechanism (feels like small rubber bushing missing at the bottom of the shift lever, but shifts just fine. I see them on ebay for about $65), antenna (radio doesn't lock on stations as it should), odometer and tach not moving, so I don't know the exact mileage, ac control bracket (control is not supported and is loose, because the little metal bracket was removed at some point), door key (the key I have operates the truck and ignition, by unlocking the trunk the vacuum unlocks and locks all the doors and gas cap door), nicer seat covers (leather looking seat covers, ebay only about two hundred bucks), convertible top (has old raggedy blue one, cheap to get on ebay), 3rd brake light (the paint shop broke the original), front valance clip (see pics), anti-lock light comes on, as does the brake light on the dash, but I think it's just the disconnected wire on the drivers side brake, there are other little minor things that about all I can think of for now. All the same, I wouldn't hesitate driving this car across the country, it's a solid running and driving car. Tires are all matching Michelins that have lots of tread on them. Seat covers are new over very weathered seats, all the lights work great. That's about all I can think of right now. Although this car has a few minor things that don't have to be address immediately, it looks better than most like it on the road. Please feel free to check out my 100% feed back since 1998 and let me know if you have any questions.
