Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. I personally test drive each car so that I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. My description is my honest opinion of each vehicle based completely on my test drive. The information contained within this listing is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the winning bid. Today it is my pleasure to offer this extra clean 1998 Ford Contour SVT for a NO RESERVE auction. The SVT Contour is perhaps one of the most overlooked sports sedans of all time. This one is finished in a gorgeous silver exterior with black leather interior. The paint on this Contour shines like new all around. One would be hard pressed to find any scratches or dents worth mentioning. I could see no rust on this one either. The limited edition SVT model can be told apart from its more domestic siblings by its lowered stance, larger wheels, distinct spoilers and dual exhaust visible from the rear. This one has a matching set of performance tires with plenty of tread left. This is a great looking car that stands out in a subtle way. The interior of this Contour SVT is in excellent condition. The SVT models come equipped with more supportive seating than the lesser models. The seats in this Contour are very comfortable and show almost no wear at all. The carpets and headliner are also clean and show no major wear either. The truck is spacious and clean. The one single thing that shows wear in the interior is the gear shift knob. The seats are power operated in addition to the standard power windows, locks and mirrors. The factory remote entry is in perfect working order. The climate control works as it should and the air conditioning is ice cold. The stereo has been upgraded to a Sony CD player and sounds great! I can't tell if the speakers have been upgraded or not but it sounds way better than most stock systems do. The manual to the car and the CD player are both in the glove box. Mechanically, she is in good shape. The SVT massaged Duratec V6 starts right up and idles smoothly and quietly. I have seen no evidence of any fluid leaks. I have driven this car about 200 miles over the last two days and it drives very well. During my driving, the engine held proper operating temperature. Other than an ABS light, there are no warning lights on. The clutch feels great and engages smoothly with no slipping. Second gear has a slight scratch if you shift it at higher engine speeds. Otherwise, the trans shifts smooth as silk. The suspension and steering are nice and tight. This car handles very well. The brakes feel good, too. This car has a newer PA inspection that is good through 9/11. The close gears matched to a free revving V6 makes this car a blast to drive. I would put this sedan up against any sports sedan of its era with confidence. Driving this reminds me of my old SHO...just with much better suspension. Please bid with confidence.
