Vehicle Detail
1989 Dodge Ramcharger 4x4 Loaded with 318 (5.2L)V-8 A/C - PS - PB - PDL - PW - Manual trans 4-speed Low reserve set at starting bid. Please bid to own and only if you plan on following through with the purchase. Thank you! I HAVE BEEN GETTING SOME OUT OF STATE INQUIRIES. I'D BE HAPPY TO MEET NEW OWNER AT PHOENIX SKY HARBOR AIRPORT AND DELIVER THIS TRUCK TO YOU RIGHT THERE WHEN YOU ARRIVE. THIS RAMCHARGER WILL BE READY AND ABLE TO DRIVE YOU BACK HOME FROM THERE. This is a relatively rare optioned truck with manual trans. Most MoPars were either stripped down bare bones with a 4-speed, or loaded with an automatic trans. This is a heavily optioned truck with a 4-speed so it's quite rare. Hard to find a clean Ramcharger priced like this, in this condition, with these options. Truck is not perfect but it's an excellent truck ready for a mild interior refreshing, or drive as is and enjoy. Totally RUST FREE - NONE - NOT A SPEC - ZERO RUST!! Original dash and door panels are excellent---no cracks. I just installed: New 5 year battery. New windshield. New exhaust. New tailights. PART TIME 4 WD, not full time like the earlier trucks. Auto locking hubs. Saves on gas. Transfer case works fine and 4x4 system works as it should. Engine is 100% stock and unmodified; starts easy and runs great with no weird noises. Plenty of power; lot's of miles but motor is not worn out so I'm assuming that it has probably had a rebuild at some time in it's life? There is a noise coming from transmission in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & reverse. 4th gear sounds fine. Everything works and truck drives down the road nicely, but there is that noise that I just can't figure out. Clutch actuation is smooth and noise goes away when clutch pedal is depressed, so your guess is as good as mine as to it's cause. Possibly the throwout bearing? or flywheel? Passenger window does not go up or down. Driver side window works fine. Power door locks go down but not up. Headliner missing (but all roof insulation still there). Rear roof vent painted over but does not leak. Carpeting very dirty and somewhat threadbare under drivers side. I would replace with new carpet kit and new headliner kit (all available on ebay) if so desired. A/C works but is not cold. Heater & blower both work great. Front buckets are in need or recovering (but the seat covers work/look fine). Rear seat fabric has a 2 inch tear in it, otherwise just fine. Old window tinting on side windows is beginning to peel. Missing radio antenna, and rear view mirror got lost when new windshield was put it. I will buy new ones and install both of these for new owner. Has an older paint job to metallic royal blue (was originally light silvery/blue). Paint job is very decent, but not great. Body work looks good no dings anywhere, no bondo areas that I could find either. Truck looks good and is quite presentable as is. All chrome is very good and undented. Stainless trim is good but should be re-attached in some places. Suspension feels nice and tight. Steering feels nice and tight (no slop at all). Brakes are excellent with no squealing or pull to either side. Stock ride height and suspension; NOT lifted. This is a really good, solid truck; no rattles. Comes with nice set of wheels (5) and mismatched 31x10.5x15 all terrain tires. REESE aftermarket heavy duty hitch with wiring in place. Cool custom grahics and emblems on front fenders and tailgate. I like having vehicles that stand out as different and unique. You won't find these wheels on any other Dodge 4x4 as I custom fitted 5 Bronco wheels to work on this Ramcharger. This truck get's looks when you drive it anywhere. The color, wheel, and trim combo is really quite striking. THIS WOULD MAKE AN EXCELLENT 340 360 383 440 TRANSPLANT TRUCK WITH MANUAL TRANS. Or, just drive this 318 Magnum as a daily driver and save the gas. This is a fun truck to drive and looks great going down the road. I've had Blazers, Broncos, Land Cruisers, and Jeeps, but there's something about a Ram Charger that just feels very different. They corner great and feel very stable on the trails. Super sharp turning radius, nice & flat cornering at speed; these are just great trucks and are a bargain. Very sturdily built and tough; they can take a thrashing and just keep on running. You can't beat 'em for the money. As you can see I've tried to really nit-pic this description and point out all flaws that I can find. I don't want any unhappy buyers out there. Truck is by no means perfect, and if you want a perfect low miler Ramcharger then there's a red and beige one on ebay right now for $15K. For another $200-$300 added to this truck (carpet and headliner) you'll have a really nice ride. Or just clean the carpet, remove the carpet and spray in some Rhino lining if you prefer. Any questions please email me or call me--Mike @ 623-465-0636 . Clear AZ title ready to transfer. NEW RIVER, AZ is located just 30 miles north of downtown PHOENIX off the I-17 fwy.
