Vehicle Detail
This is a 29 year old, 1982 Celica Supra that is in excellent condition, taking into consideration that everything is "original" (but the radio and the shifter handle). It is reported to us that this is a one owner. CARFAX doesn't specificy how many owners but it confirms that no accidents were ever reported. We have checked the paint with a diagnostic tool that measures the thickness of the paint to the metal and we cannot find any place where any repainting has been done. The body panels are excellent with no door dings. Driven an average of only 6,241 miles per year. Always a California car. Our ASE Certified Mechanic drove the car yesterday and came back and said "the car drives excellent; runs excellent; and everything is "smooth". All we've done on this car to date is change the oil; replace a headlight; and replace the battery with a new one. Tires are good. The car sat in my garage overnite and I noticed (2) small oil drips on the garage floor. It kinda is expected in a 29 year old car but I will have them check out. The owners manual is missing. With this said, the car is fun to drive. It is fast and smooth. Suspension seems to be good as I tested it driving over some railroad tracks. We will take offers on this car. If there is anything that we can do to answer any questions for you, let us know. You can see (30) photo's on our website www.PHILLIPSAUTOINC.COM Feel free to email us at PHILLIPSCARS4U@AOL.COM or call us at (714) 348-1453. Car is sold "as is" but we want to make you feel as comfortable with our description of the car as possible. There are a few "minor cosmetic things" that need some attention, like the insulation under the hood needs to be taken out and replaced. The hood "struts" need to be replaced (that hold up the hood) and there is a minor chip out of one of the fender flare's (at most $200 cost to repair). There is one minor tear in the driver upholstery on the side"...not the seat (you can see in photo. Cost to repair maybe $100 -$200) They would take a piece of material from underneath a seat or from the rear. They would use the "original" material. It's my understanding that this is an "L" type since it has the fender flares. Body, Paint, and interior are in near excellent condition for any year car, let alone a 29 year old car. As you can see, the original paints still "shines". Upholstery doesn't have any tears but the one on the side. Engine and transmission are solid. Overall, a nice collector car. Enjoy!
