Vehicle Detail

Im selling my 1958 Chevy Brookwood Wagon! This has been a great car to drive the last couple of years but now its time to sell! Ive lost intrest in the project and I dont have the extra cash to finish the things I want to do to it. I pulled the old 305 out of the car after I bought it and dropped a 350 and a powerglide that I had rebuilt. The motor/transmission have about 15,000-20,000 miles on it. The motor has Edelbrock Proformer cam and new intake. Along with an electric Edelbrock carb. At the beginning of this past summer I put new Edelbrock finned valve covers on, new fuel pump, HEI distributor, plugs/wires, fuel sending unit, starter, battery, alternator and alt bracket. Also a new Caddilac air cleaner. The timing still needs to be fine tuned. The motor blows a little smoke occasionally when you start the car up. The transmission has a leak, I saw some trans fluid on one of the cooler lines, may just need to be tightened up? The rear end also has a leak. I had new duel exhaust put on at the beginning of last summer with some glass packs. Sounds killer when you get on it! The previous owner had new glass put in execpt on the vent windows and I think maybe one of the passenger doors. But the windsheild and rear window are new with new gaskets. The body has some rust issues as you can see from the pictures. I took pictures of all the rust spots I could find. Most of the rust holes on the out side appears to be small. The drivers side quarter needs fixing as shown in the pictures. The front and rear floor boards need to be replace. The last owner layed some serious fiberglass down on the floorboards. I didnt mind it for a driver. There is also a dent in the front passenger fender and one in the roof. Nothing major and should pull out. I do have all the exterior trim, minus mounting clips. Even the 4 small pieces that mount between the doors. All are in good shape with a few small dings. The interior has a decent headliner. I have the 3 piece cover that hides the rear hatch arms. The front seat and rear seat need to be upholstered. I have no door panels for the car but I do have 4 armrests. I also have 4 sill plates that need to be cleaned and straightened. The seat track on the front seat was "fixed" but broke and now is only bolted down with 2 rear bolts. So the seat wants to lean back when you're not sitting in it. Ive been looking for some new seat tracks but have not found any. Or maybe just do a better repair job than what was on them. Overall this is a great car! I've enjoyed it but its time to go! If you have any questions or want more pictures you can call, 360-620-2879, or e-mail, 65on22s@yahoo.com. If the interior, or lack of interior, is turning you away, we may be able to work something out. I own a auto upholstery shop, I know I know, everyone else gets there car upholstered but I dont have time to do my own! Check out my page on facebook, Stitches Custom Auto Upholstery, and you can see that I do know what Im doing. Buyer is responsible for shipping and shipping charges. Thanks!
