As much as I hate to do it, my M3 is for sale. Due to recent life changes I no longer have time enjoy this car as much as I used to. Here are the brief stats: 1988 BMW M3, #117 brought to the U.S. (Built 3/87) Black with Pearl Beige leather 88,190 miles Exterior and interior are in excellent condition. Paint is as shiny as new, all body panels are original. Leather seats are untorn and show minimal wear. Dash board is mint and crack free. All interior and exterior lights function properly. Overhead check panel shows no issues. The engine bay is clean enough to eat off of. The valve cover and intake plenum were media blasted and powdercoated to a factory black finish. The entire suspension has been replaced including control arms, cabs, shocks, strut/shock mounts, subframe and trailing arm bushings, diff bushing, and sway bar links. The car drives like a dream however there is a slight vibration issue with the current wheel/tire combo that is listed below, this is directly related to the wheels and not the driveline as the stock wheels have zero vibration/shimmy whatsoever. The body paint is all original but the front bumper, side skirts, and spoiler were resprayed 3 years ago to a factory finish due to chipping. The front and rear bmw badges were replaced recently as well as the m3 logo on the trunk and front grill. Engine rebuilt less than 7,000 miles ago to stock 2.3L specs. All internal engine parts are either brand new or machined to OEM specification. This includes pricier items like timing chain rails. Machine work was performed by VAC Motorsports. Mods: -Conforti chip -Evo intake -U.S. Ellipsoid headlights (stock sealed beams included with sale) -UUC Short Shift Kit -MPD lightweight flywheel -VSR stainless steel center section, Stromung stainless steel muffler -BMW factory moonroof (very rare and expensive option) (original sunroof included)-Brand new Ronal ACT wheels with new sumitomo tires (less than 5k miles on wheels and tires)-Bilstein sport shocks (less than 5k miles ago) -Turner J-stock springs. Known issues: - The current wheel and tire setup has a vibration issue between 55-75 mph. The wheels and tire need to be taken to a reputable shop and rebalanced, possibly on the car.- External temp sensor is off. I am including a new replacement sensor with the sale. I have ALL receipts related to this car from the time the car was ordered in 1987 through the present day. Included with the sale is a set of stock wheels, factory front bra, factory sunroof panel, car cover, and misc replacement parts (hoses, relays, belts, oil filters, etc.) Please note that I have tried to make this m3 as perfect as possible. It has been my weekend car for over five years now and I have enjoyed every second of ownership. It has been garaged since the day I purchased it. The car has not been in any accidents.
