Vehicle Detail
Very nice garage kept 1979 Camaro Z28. The car is rust free, all original paint and graphics. Flaws in the paint include part of the decal on the hood near the air intake has flaked off, and the right front fender has some paint chipping off both the steel quarter panel and upper part of plastic bumper, was told by previous owner the original owner caused this from over buffing the panel. Interior is original and is in excellent condition. Car has 57,108 original miles and only 8,104 miles on professionally built engine, paperwork states the the engine has 425 horsepower. Car drives great in town and on the highway, definitely a streetable and reliable car. Engine does not leak oil, runs strong and sounds awesome. Includes four bolt main 350 block, Holley double pumper carb, Pink rods, TRW pistons, 2.02 heads, 10.25 compression ratio, 280H Comp competition cam and valve train, roller rockers, LT-1 high rise aluminum intake, Moroso 6 quart oil pan and much more. Cost to build the engine in 1988 was $4,869. The car has a practically new 350 transmission with 3000 RPM billet steel stall converter and shift kit that was rebuilt at 56,813 miles. Upgrades include, Hooker chrome roll bar, Centerline wheels, custom glass etching, 3.42 posi rearend with billet aluminum cover, aftermarket stereo system, and B&M megashifter. A/C worked when I purchased the car but has since leaked down while being stored in garage and is not cooling. Car has never been raced to my knowledge or the knowledge of the previous owner. Have file folder documenting everything that has been done to the car since it left the showroom floor. Overall car is in great condition, far better than almost all 79's I've seen, much less one with all original paint and interior. The car can be inspected about any time prior to the end of the auction. I will work with you if you plan to use a shipping company after purchase. This is a cash/cashiers check auction, be sure that you have they money before you bid. All sales are final and no warranty is given. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
