Vehicle Detail
C4 Corvettes are among the best performance bargains out there and this one is a great buy with 74,xxx low miles and superior condition. Best of all, C4s are easy to maintain, with ready parts availability and solid reliability and low maintenance costs. But don't settle for an example with lots of little needs if you can help it - they add up! This 1986 has had an easy life and it shows, from the supple weatherstripping to the gently worn seats, perfect dash and like-new blue tinted removable roof panel. Finished in understated medium gray with light gray interior, it is equipped with: automatic transmission for easy cruising, even in traffic; optional power sport seats in perforated leather; Z51 suspension with fast steering, performance axle ratio and upgraded handling over the base coupe and convertible; blue-tint roof panel; ice cold air conditioning with electronic temperature control; and all the power options. There 's more to like: The Goodyear tires are at 50%. Power adjustments for the seats are functional and there are no tears, stains or rips in the covers. All dash LEDs are working with none burned out or dim. The cruise control and power radio antenna work. The flip-up headlight motors are functional. There are no cracks in the upper dash pad. It is equipped with a Flowmaster cat-back exhaust and mufflers that deliver a low, mellow tone with no droning or resonance. Tinted windows keep the interior cool on sunny days. Included in the sale is a four-season outdoor cover, Haynes service manual and a rear cargo mat by Lloyd's with C4 emblem. To be clear, I won't say this is a show-level car. It is a very well kept, lower mileage C4 with great options, ready to be enjoyed and treasured. I've been underneath her and found no drips or leaks under the engine or transmission. There is a clean Carfax/Autocheck title history. Cosmetically, my only picks would be some fading on the top of the rear bumper - it's age-related and typical. This car replaced my black 96 LT4 coupe that was hit by a truck in heavy traffic. It took a long time to find an early C4 that could be enjoyed without a good sized to-do list of needs, which is what unfortunately happens to examples that have had a hard life. No sooner did I buy it than my company transferred me to another state. Now, I'm renting a house that doesn't have a garage and I'm not willing to leave it in the elements. The fine points: Presale inspection is welcome. Please make sure you are able to complete the transaction; banks and credit unions are careful about lending these days and it may take longer than you think to obtain financing if you plan to have a note. The title is clear and ready to be transferred. I have consigned the car with a friend of 10 years who holds a FL dealer's license. If sold on consignment, tax and registration fees must be collected and 30-day paper tag can be issued. This may make the sale easier for you, especially if financed. Private sale is also available if you prefer. Auction listings cost money; therefore you must contact me before you bid if you have <10 transaction feedback. Please plan to complete the sale within 14 days of the date the auction closes. The car is for sale locally in Orange Park/Jacksonville FL. I will end the auction early if sold locally, but I will not end the auction if the reserve is met. Please don't ask me for the reserve price or to end the auction early unless you are able to complete a local sale. Shipping is not included in the selling price and is the buyer's responsibility.
