This is a true NO RESERVE so bid often and don't let this one get away!* Here is a super rare and very neat 1966 Porsche 912 that is in very nice condition inside and out. This is a totally solid California car that is a blast to drive. It is a very clean, unmolested car that has been very well kept over the years. It just received a very cool conversion to a Carrera RS tribute car with flashy PORSCHE rocker decals and color matched original Fuchs wheels. Dont forget the cool roll bar inside! This car is beleived to be an original California car and does have its 80's-era California license plate, so has been there at least the last 30 years or so. The odometer shows a bit over 8,000 miles, so it is reasonable to assume the car probably has 108k original miles on the body. This car just received a fresh drivetrain, brakes, new tires and a full tune and carb sync and is ready to go! There is nothing cooler then a driving vintage Porsche! The following is a list of options as this 911T is currently equipped: -1650cc VW Dual Port Engine with Mild Cam -Twin Weber Carbs -Porsche 911 Fan/Alternator Conversion -New Clutch -Original Porsche Transmission -Original Fuchs Aluminum Rims -New Falken Performance Tires -Recaro Style Bucket Racing Seats -3 Gauge Dash with Tachometer -Sony Cassette Player The exterior of the car is finished in its gorgeous veriation of Gulf Racing Blue. It really gives the car a vintage racing look, especially with the color matched wheels. The front and rear bumpers have also been replaced with fiberglass Carrera RS styled units. The car has had one re-spray in its life and was a good driver quality job which was done a few years ago, so does show a few touched up chips and blemishes here and there and still retains a beautiful luster. The underside is completely solid and rust free as any west coast car should be, and still retains all of its original pans. All the weather stripping on the car is still soft and supple. All glass is crack and chip free. The car is riding on the original Fuchs 15" wheels. The tires are new performance radial tires and give the car a great look. They ride smooth and can be driven on with no problems. Another neat touch is the red painted calipers, which add to the sporty look. The interior has been modified to meet function and performance of a track car. The rear seats have been removed and replaced with a roll bar. The entire car is covered in fresh gray carpeting. The original door panels have been removed and replaced with Carrera RS style cable pulls. The Recaro-style sport seats slide and recline as they should and there are lap belts currently installed. The interior is pretty bare bones, but it suits its purpose well. Mechanically, this 912 is in excellent condition! Thousands were just spent installing and dialing in the fresh engine. When I aquired this car the original drivetrain was already gone and had been replaced with a tired 1600cc VW engine. It was replaced with a freshly built 1650cc VW performance engine that really moves. At that time a new clutch was installed, engine breather kit, Porsche fan conversion with fiberglass engine shroud, new distributor, remote oil cooler, carbs tuned, and fuel system dialed in. The car also has fresh pads and rotors all around and stops as good as it goes. It really is a neat looking package and is in my opinion the best alternative to finding an original 912 powerplant. This little diamond and is ready for the next cruise night or car show. The front compartment is bare bones other than the fuel tank (which was pulled and flushed) and a fresh battery. No spare or tools are included. The front and rear latches have also been removed and racing style rubber fasteners have been installed. This really is a neat little car that gets a ton of attention everywhere it goes. It has all the look of a high dollar vintage 911 without the super steep price tag. This car is a great entry into the Porsche segment and will make a great around town cruiser or take it to vintage Porsche races and rallys.
