Vehicle Detail

Up for sale we have a beautifully preserved 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88 4 Door Hardtop with a 425 big block, turbomatic 3 speed and 10 bolt limited slip rear (has a tag on it but I didn't crawl under the car to see what it was). This car was stored in a heated garage for it's entire life. It was owned by an old couple who passed away. I purchased it from the estate and cleaned it up and got it running. It was originally going to be a parts car but as we began to clean it up and look it over, it was quickly realized that it was too nice to cut up. The car starts right up as soon as you touch the key, the interior is impeccable, the transmission engages perfectly. I have not been able to take it for a long ride as of yet because it needed a brake hose. That will be replaced this week and I will update the auction after it's gone on a long test drive. This car would be great for those Sunday drives or to take to car shows. It does show some signs of its age but since it's not a perfect show car, you can take it wherever you want and you don't have to worry about it. I could talk forever about how nice this car is but I'll just give you a list of the good and bad and let the pictures speak for themselves. I will ship this car worldwide if someone wants it shipped. You just have to take care of all the arrangements. If anyone wants more pictures or has any specific questions, feel free to email me at coalcitykustoms@gmail.com The car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to sell the car privately. Good: -Great running 425 big block -Turbomatic 3 speed trans -Coil spring 10 bolt -No rot on the frame or underneath the car -Power steering -Power brakes with dual master cylinder -Good exhaust -Beautiful interior, including a perfect headliner -Shiny black paint -All the glass is in perfect shape -New points, condenser, cap, rotor, spark plugs, wires Bad: -Brake hose (will be replaced) -Some bubbling in the wheel wells/rear quarters -The key for the trunk was lost so it will need a new lock cylinder put in -Driver's arm rest has some wear -There is some cracks that have separated in the steering wheel -One of the wiper arms needs a new spring because it's not pressing hard enough on the windshield I was as upfront and honest as I could be with this car but I think the pictures speak for themselves. If there are anymore questions or picture request please don't hesitate to contact me. On Feb-04-11 at 14:12:27 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE VIN: 356397E134621 ST 67 35639 BL52Z1 TR 315 Y67 AA Paint The car is getting the brake line and brakes adjusted tonight so we can take it out for a ride tomorrow. This car has been sitting in a heated garage for quite a while and could use the coolant flushed, gear lube and trans fluid changed and (probably) new tires before really driving it on a long trip.On Feb-05-11 at 14:39:58 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE 2/5/2011 The busted brake line has been replaced, oil changed and I took the car out for a nice long drive today. I was out for about 2 hours with it. The car ran absolutely flawless. It feels like you're driving the living room couch. The only problem I can see with it is that the tires are crap. They are all flat spotted from sitting and will have to be replaced before it would be able to go on any longer trips. With new tires, I would feel comfortable driving this car anywhere. I was only comfortable taking the car up to about 55 - 60 but to that speed the car ran without problem. Also, the misaligned passenger's side front door has been fixed and the scuffs on the passenger's side have been touched up. Refer to the pictures below to see the repairs made. I also layed under the car and got some pictures of how clean the underside is. The pics aren't the best but that was the best I could get with the car on jackstands. I will say that the underside of the car definitely shows the fact that this thing was garage kept in a climate controlled garage its whole life. The underside of this car is in much better shape than my 53 Ford show car.
