Vehicle Detail
I am the original owner on this 2000 Dodge Intrepid ES. This was the luxury model Intrepid. It served us well for many years but is now showing its age. The drivetrain is solid but there are some other issue. I beleive the coar to be mechanically sound for a car with 150K miles on it. With a small amount of work and a lot of parts available, this would make a great first car or an easy fixer upper for investment opportunities. I don't have the time or money to fix her up. I do have current tags for the car good until Oct 2012. Car has been sitting for 3 months, it could use a good detailing but is generally clean. 150K miles 3.2L V6 note: not the smaller 2.7 or more common 3.5 Engine still very strong and gets 22 mpg. Automatic Transmission with Auto-Stick All black leather interior - the leather is still in excellent shape stock 8 speakers 320watt Inifinity sound system with 4 CD changer Power Sunroof Dual 8 way power seats (one control knob on side if seat missing, still works). very dark tinted windows The bad: AC compressor clutch bad - no AC. Living in Oregon, thats not a very big deal so I simply removed the AC drive belt, have paper work. Driver's window doesn't slide down without jumping off its track. Driver's interior door handle broken - makes getting out of the car fun. Very annoying. Right now I use tie-straps for a door handle (extras included at no extra charge!) Climate control panel indicator doesnt light up, heater seems slow to heat up. Needs new brakes - rear brake lights intermittent Slight transmission fluid leak at intercooler hose connection. Left turn signal needs a new flasher. couple minor dings Needs some general TLC. Email me with any quesitons. Car has tags good until 2012 and is completely driveable. I've bought and sold vehicles on ebay before and can be available to transfer vehicle including any shipping within 50 miles of Portland, OR. I have done my best to describe all the issues with the car, being sold AS-IS - no warranties expressed or implied. Cashiers check or cash only! On Jan-31-11 at 13:17:42 PST, seller added the following information: More random notes: I've had a couple of people email me questions about driving the car. I think it is driveable to where ever you may take it, with the understanding you should bring tools JUST IN CASE as this does have 150K miles on it. The rear brake light does have isues as noted though so be careful. That being said, the drivetrain of this car has been the most troublefree of any I've owned (except the AC clutch going out). Its all the little things that have failed that pushed me to finally sell it. The transmission line that connects to the intercooler by the radiator drips here and there, but I always keep the fluid topped off with ATF4. The tires are at least 50% and the engine will have fresh oil. I've never had any major engine issues with the car and have kept it pretty well maintained. Timing belt, water pump, hoses, belts, plugs, were replaced at the right intervals. As stated though, no AC and the heater temp is acting funky, may need a new heater core soon. Brakes/Drums need replaced soon. I've personally replaced the brake drums on this car 2-3 times as I feel they are too weak for this size of car and in my experience, the drums always end up warping, eventually causing steering wheel shudder when applying brakes. The drums are fairly cheap around here. This was a fine family car for a decade, but all the little issues finally mounted up and we replaced it in May 09. Its been used here and there since then.
