This auction is for a 1997 F250 x-cab 4x4, diesel.. I am listing this truck for my friend, but I can answer pretty much any questions you may have on it.This truck is very used, but ran dependable up till the day he stopped driving it. It is a very worn work truck, and all you need to do is look carefully at the pics to see the condition of the body. The body is banged up, in generally poor condition (but not a rust bucket). There is rust on this truck, but in general it is still very solid, just banged up. The tailgate is on there but the hinges are gone. The front windshield is cracked bad, but the door windows work fine. Interior: Look at pics good. This was a work truck its whole life, and as such was treated just as that.Tires: Need replacedFuel Tanks: Front tank works fine, back tank works but leaks.4x4: works fine, but the front u-joint just let go the day before he stopped driving it. We have the u-joint for it, but it just needs installed. The front axle u-joints are very bad also..Engine: Powerstroke with 366000 miles on it. Runs good, but does have a fuel leak. Also, leaks oil like the Exxon Valdez... This truck was driven daily till a few weeks ago, but it needs a lot of work to keep it on the road much longer. Front ball joints, u-joints, tires, various other things. The heat doesnt work good anymore either. With some work this truck could still be driven as an every day driver. I am not trying to beat up on this trucks condition, I just want to make sure whoever gets this doesnt have visions of ever taking a date out in this truck. As a work truck it was great, its last job was 320 miles away in West Virginia and did that drive about 15 times the past year (pulling a trailer). It was always maintained to be dependable, since he did put so many miles on it daily.Everyday this truck was driven at least 80-100 miles, 5 days a week. It has a new cam position sensor, fuel injector sensor, water pump, a/c clutch. Starter was also replaced within the past year.This truck can be seen in person before the end of the auction. The front tires are the ones that need replaced.And just to be clear. This truck is a running, driving truck still. I fear that I made it seem like it wasnt, but Jarrod just drove this truck yesterday. This truck was used daily up till about 3 weeks ago when he got back from West Virginia. The only reason he's selling it is that it is time for him to get a newer one due to the miles and wear on this one. The heater still works, it just takes a while for it to warm up. We are thinking the thermostat is what is causing that.On Jan-31-11 at 07:50:30 PST, seller added the following information: This is the 7.3 liter Powerstroke.... The inside drivers door handle is broke so the door only opens from the outside. Truck has a new vacuum pump and serpentine belt (within 2 months),Power steering pump and the high pressure line was replaced last winter. Lower radiator hose was also replaced at the same time. Clutch/pressure plate was replaced about 3 years ago also.Brake pads were replaced a couple months ago, but the rotors are shot.
