For sale, 1996 Landcruiser, original owner, 108,009 miles as of this morning. This was originally bought to be our car-pool mobile, with 8 seats and seat belts. Still runs great. Anti-Lock Brakes and Airbags. It became a member of the family as the kids grew up, and became the car the kids learned to drive on until they went off to college. It is a work horse, and never complains. It was manufactured just about 15 years ago, so it has the normal wear and tear of a vehicle that old. We never deferred maintenance, so when something went bad, it was replaced. Over the last few years, we put on a new alternator, new Optima battery with marine posts, new hoses, old man Emu shocks, brakes, Michelin tires, P/N sensor switch, starter motor and relay, etc. It was completely tuned up (new sparks, etc.) within the last 6 months. New oil and filters every 5,000 miles. It has been in one accident to speak of a few years ago. A kid in a stolen Mercedes went into it head on. Mercedes was totaled, Landcruiser needed a new front bumper and radiator. Minor body stuff (minor scrapes and a sticker I can’t get off), and the remnants of an old cell phone system (dock and microphone) from the days when aftermarket phones were hardwired into cars. Also has an aftermarket Clifford alarm, and a GPS locator (not Lojack, but same idea), although the battery on the tracker died a few years ago and no one can remember where it was installed in order to replace it. California vehicle, almost always garaged, so paint and body are very good. Original radio and CD player work fine. Vehicle is in Calabasas, CA (Los Angeles).
