1966 Chevy 3/4 Ton Long Bed Step Side Pick-Up Restored down to the frame in 1994 1966 Chevy Long Bed Step Side Pickup, 250 cu. in. straight six, 4 - speed Spicer transmission (with Granny gear) and a .456 rear end differential. - This truck was given to me by a friend in a trade and I restored it back in 1994. The entire bed was replaced along with the entire exhaust system. It was taken down to the frame, primed with Zinc-Chromate Urethane and completely rebuilt. It was given a new suspension, ball joints, bushings, universal joints, brakes, drums, springs, shocks etc., the motor was completely rebuilt, the cab was restored after it was dipped. All body parts were sandblasted, primed and painted. It is factory original in all respects with the following exceptions: It has a Silverado seat and steering wheel, arm rests, interior carpet, and after-market A/C, (the condensing coil has a small leak). In addition is has a new gas tank, new master cylinder, new fuel pump, new tires (12- ply heavy duty truck tires, $750.00 new), new ignition switch and coil, condenser, points, and plugs. The windshield was recently replaced and there are 2 1/2" and 2 7/8" balls on the rear for towing. It has heavy duty leaf springs to support additional loads in the bed with a gross weight limit of 7500 pounds. Since it was restored I have put 45K miles on it. There are some spots that will require body work as rust has returned in several places. The paint needs rubbing and touch up but only after the necessary body work is completed. The core support (the weak link for this vintage) is pristine, no rust etc. I am the second owner and have a clear title ready to convey to the lucky buyer.
