Vehicle Detail

For Sale: 2000 Lincoln LS, Sport Edition I am selling my 2000 Lincoln LS Sport Edition. I have recently purchased a new Lincoln Aviator, and was going to sell this vehicle anyway, but the weather in upstate NY is horrible lately, and I slid 40 feet into an SUV in front of me, damaging the front end of the car only 2 weeks before I was going to sell it. This is a fairly RARE car, as not many Lincolns are stick shift with the sport package. You still get all the luxury of a Lincoln...woodgrain, leather, etc, but you also get the feel of a sports car! This car is a beautiful car, and was very reliable. YES, the car has 169,676 miles on it, but the engine was rebuilt within the last couple of years before I purchased it, and it only has approxiamately 45,000 miles on it. *The car drives fine still, despite the front end cosmetic damage...I have been driving it every other day, since the accident 2 weeks ago!* *The car has a MAGNA FLOW air intake, and exhaust system, which gives it a powerful "hum" when it's started and running. It is 5-speed, with a nice smooth clutch. I just drove the car today, and other than the cosmetic stuff that needs to be fixed on the front end, it still drives beautifully. *The brakes are fairly new. *The oil pan was replaced about 2 weeks ago (I ran over a chunk of ice, which cracked the oil pan...had it replaced only a week before I got into the accident.) *The altenator was replaced last spring. *The car just had an oil change.Ive used this car on a daily basis for the past 2 years, and have kept up with the maintenance of the vehicle. *The car has 4 new tires, which werent cheap, including 2 snow tires on the back, as it is rear wheel drive. *The alloy wheels are in good shape, and really make the car! *The car has a nice 6 disc cd changer, heated seats, air conditioning, power driver seat, power windows. Everything works. *The interior is very nice, and the seats barely show signs of any wear! The car does need attention on the front end, as seen in the pictures, but I had my uncle, who is a mechanic look at it, and he suggested the car have a new hood, front bumper cover, grille, headlight, but he believes the front fender can be salvaged. The car isnt perfect. Here are some things that it does need....I'm listing everything because I'm trying to be as honest as possible.... The car needs: 1.) a tune up 2.)windshield wipers...at least one new one 3.)a new wire harness, as the horn doesn't work, and the airbag sensor light comes on sporadically...my uncle checked this, and there is a short in the wire harness. I just never got it worked on. 4.) the regulator on the passengers side front window snapped recently, as i was trying to get the window down, but it was frozen from the ice and snow. 5.) 1 O-2 (Oxygen sensor) needs to be replaced, this is why the check engine light is on. I priced it..$29.00 at Advance Auto parts. 6.) Cosmetic work done on the front end... The car is very sporty, and was always a head turner. When you pull up to somebody at a stoplight, the last thing they are expecting to see is a 5 speed Lincoln! Haha. But, its a fun car to drive, and handles really nice. I feel horrible for messing up the front end, but the car just needs some love and attention. I am very fond of Lincolns, and as I mentioned previously, my experience with this car was such a positive one that I opted to purchase a Lincoln SUV, only because I have twins and need more room. The car can be purchased as a parts car, although I'm hoping someone will put a little bit of time and effort into it, because it is such a fun car! I have 160 pounds of sand in the trunk, and it handles really well in the snow with the sand, and the back snow tires. I just hit a big patch of black ice, and that is how I got into the accident. Shipping/pickup is the buyers responsibility. The car IS driveable, but I don't recommend driving it at night due to the headlight being smashed...you might get pulled over.
