BUCKET SEATS AND CENTER CONSOLE 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 xl convertible Older paint but still can be used and enjoyed as it is or you could do a complete resto if you prefer. This is a real nice running V8 automatic with Power Steering and a Power convertible top. I believe this to have a 289 V8 that sounds real nice. The car goes down the highway at 65 very nice. The car has surprisingly nice solid looking floors in it. The frame looks to have had a couple small repairs many years back but looks very nice and very strong. The spots were done proffessionally and look very neatly done. The trunk had a couple patches and could stand some paint and cleaning but looks solid. The convertible top is in beautiful shape and doesn’t look very old. The power top operates nicely and has a parade boot that fits well. The windshiels has a crack in the right corner. A new fuel tank was put in last year. The car was born blue and changed over to red some years back. The AM radio is still in the car but currently has a working am fm CD player mounted above the center console that sounds nice. Most things look to work well in the car like the heater, horn, emergency brake, stereo, wipers, power top etc. The outside lights also look to all be working. Most of the chrome on the car looks in nice shiny condition. I'm sure the mileage has been over with the age. The Radial tires have real nice tread on them. I drove it last week on a dry day on a 2 hour highway trip and it made the trip very nice. Good heat, stereo and working gas gauge. What more can you ask for. Someone recently told me this may not be an xl but just a 500 convertible. I don't know the differance but figured I'd mention it.
