This is an exceptional Westfalia edition VW bus. Little to no rust at all ! Floors are solid, no body rust, rain gutters are perfect and underneath is in great shape too. This Bus was completely restored 5 years ago and has just been repainted the original 1968 Montana red that VW offered that year. The upholstery is brand new and smells like a new car inside. The wood paneling on ceiling and rear walls are in excellent condition, all floor areas including rear compartment have been nicely insulated to give it a relatively quite solid feel when driving. CD player, satellite radio and 4 speakers provide a nice sounding stereo system.The canvas top is in great shape and has all new hardware for pop top. The engine ( 1600 dual port ) and transmission were rebuilt during restoration and have approximately 20,000 mile on both. External oil cooler with thermostat fan and oil filter along with XL oil sump provide lots of cooling and less wear on engine. brakes work well and do not pull, steering is good with a little play ( possibly in need of a new ti rod end ) but very drivable. The engine fires right up and runs perfectly. This is a great driver and ready for the next road trip !
