The mileage is original and prior to the previous owner rebuilding it. It had been kept in his garage for the last 9 years while he was attempting to restore it. He was an older mechanic in his 70's or 80's but he rebuilt the engine and installed a new gas tank, as well as a few other odds and ends. I bought it from him to do as a project and then flip. I can still put the buyer or interested parties in touch with him if need be. After purchasing from him I immediately drove it to a Mustang restoration shop in Pennsylvania to take care of a few loose ends. They patched 2 or 3 very small rust spots on the drivers side fender and immediately under the door. It was then sanded and primed. They also finished some welding on the frame and put an anti rust coating underneath. THE FRAME IS SOLID. I repeat SOLID. There is no rust. The gas tank is new. I have new chrome bumpers not pictured. There are mirrors not pictured, they were taken off with the bumpers before priming. The convertible top functions flawlessly. The back window is new. The top is in good condition, it has some minor dirt speckling which I think could be cleaned off with a really good pressure washer. I had it primed with the intention of painting it but I just can't afford it now and need to unload it. The metal areas of the interior still need to be sanded and primed if it will be repainted as it is in it's original turquoise/green color. Upholstery is in pretty great shape, considering the interior is all original and unrestored. No major tears or stains. Just needs a cleaning. There is some wiring in the engine compartment that should be attended to. When the old fellow rebuilt it I think he forgot where some of the stuff went and he had to Jerry Rig it back together. It is nothing serious, everything works, the lights, blinkers etc. but it should be redone at some point. Bill at Mustang Stables, where I currently have it, is very reasonable and can do any additional restoration or repairs you so desire. Anyone with any experience with these old cars knows you can put as much money as you want in them and still keep going. Quite honestly, of you don't want to go too crazy, with only another 2-4,000 in minor loose ends, including the paint job, you can have yourself a nice 65 convertible. Of course, the sky is the limit, but she is essentially a pretty complete and nearly ready example. Anyone making an offer must see the car and inspect it first. Thanks for looking.
