This pickup has sat for several years and although it still runs and drives, it needs to be gone through and restored. You could also use it for lots and lots of good parts. Mechanical things that I know need work for sure: (1) The carburetor needs disassembled and gone through with a carb kit. (Sometimes doesn't like to idle). (2) The heater core needs replaced. (3) The engine runs excellent, but I believe coolant is leaking into the oil pan through the timing cover. I'm almost positive it's not a head gasket because it doesn't get hot or pressurize the cooling system. You can also see the water pump is fairly new and the seal probably was disturbed during it's installation. (4) the brake master cylender needs replaced. It still stops, just not great. So there you have it. A straight, original, virtually rust free truck that's never been in an accident, ready for love or being parted out. The transmission shifts excellent. The rear axle is tight, no noises. The steering feels tight. This truck will easily fire right up and load itself onto any transporter. It just is not ready for any type of a trip beyond that. The only rust is the usual over the wheelwell area. The cab floors look extremely solid, as well as the rest of the sheetmetal. There is ZERO Bondo on this truck anywhere and it's never been repainted. The grill shell is unbelieveably nice. The original seat has a seperation right in the middle along the seam. Both fuel tanks operate correctly. The headliner is beautiful. The inside door panels are also unbelievable. I bought this truck to restore because I have always loved this body style, but I've come to the realization there isn't enough spare time for me to tackle this anymore. (The title is clear and in my personal name). This truck will be sold as-is/no warranty/ tow away/ without a safety or an emmissions inspection. You should expect to do some type of basic scheduled maintenance or repairs to any USED vehicle listed on here or for that matter, ....anywhere. Titles. All vehicles that we purchase and offer for resale have clear Title, in our possesion. We do NOT deal in any vehicles with salvage title histories, period. The State of Colorado automatically exempts the recorded mileage on the title for any vehicle over ten years old, and over 100,000 miles. Therefore, on these vehicles, the titles will simply have a "0" indicated for odometer reading. That doesn't indicate that the mileage is unknown, or has been tampered with. It simply means they are no longer keeping track of mileage after that. Preparing, listing, and managing these online auctions costs real time and money.
